An interesting point Lockit Girl has never really thought about that aspect of serving a domme. Of all the dommes that girl has spoken to privately, only two have brought up such things as health insurance and only one with investing in my future serving her. It is one thing to serve a domme with unconditional loyalty, it is totally another thing when the domme is concerned about the well-being of their submissive. Girl believes that the dommes that offer training to better serve them in the capacity that they desire have a sense of responsibility towards their sub/slave. Good to know that Jewel is another that thinks of such things also.

I have health issues right now so I'm not working outside the home, but I do as much as possible inside. I cook, clean, paint, work in the yard, etc. whenever I'm able. I have it clearly spelled out in my profile (if they bother to read it) that any subs looking to join this household must be willing to pay their way. I'm not looking to make a profit off of them....they simply need to make enough to cover their own expenses (food, clothing, etc.). They should also have some way of getting health insurance through their employer. Fortunately my husband makes enough to cover our own expenses. The sub may only need to find a part time position to make enough to contribute to the household and secure some kind of insurance. Details like this would have to be worked out with the individual. If we ask them to stay at home and take care of us, provisions to assure that they are not harmed is a part of our place. Some may not agree with that, but I believe that. If I cannot provide to some degree for health care and retirement like they would be able to get while working, then they should not hinder their life or harm their life allowing me to use them. I could cast them aside after twenty years and that would be twenty years of wasted time social security wise at the minimum and that could lead to a life of poverty at a time in life when they would be most vulnerable, maybe unable to work and maybe even less healthy than they were. It is very romantic in a sense to do the nesting and take care of someone, but at what risk to many do so? That is just not something I could ask of someone.

Serving a domme is one thing, but being helpful and caring is another for some. Within my mind such is part of serving. If girl was serving a domme and she was injured, you can be sure girl would be right there caring for her because it is within girl's best interest to do so. To serve a domme is not just about BDSM or D/s. Its about serving to the best of my ability. If the domme sets something up where my health is taking care of, that my future without my domme has had provisions made then girl is set. Here is a case in point for you: Current couple were in a car accident. There daughter and grandchildren were in the same collar. When girl was informed of this, girl became very concerned. When they returned and unable to work girl was there to care for them. Master had given me the skills to help where girl could. Mistress needed help also. Girl was always told to save, though my allowance is meager at that time, girl did manage to save up quite a bit. It was quickly drained away with caring for current couple within the first six months. Because of what girl did my allowance was doubled. If it were asked of me again, girl would do it again. Money was not the issue, serving master and mistress was. If that accident had not occured then quite possibly there would be at least another 5-6 years of continued serving. But it did happen and they are both taking early retirement and going to spend the rest of their years with their daughter and grandchildren. Would girl change anything that girl did? Nope. Not a thing. It really is a good thing that over the years laboring for Master, through all the public humiliation, he did teach me what he knew, but that still does not change who and what girl is. Girl serves. Without someone to serve, girl is lost.

They are young, ten foot tall and bullet proof. Honestly though, the only reason we are able to do the whole insurance thing is because Scooter is retiring and we are going to start a small business. Not a real money maker necessarily, but something we enjoy. Because of that we can get group insurance. Before this time we would have had to look into individual insurance. Which, again, wasn't a problem. As expensive as it can be, it's still a lot cheaper then hospital bills and prescriptions!! *Jewel*

It is inexpensive that way to have your sub/slave down as your spouse. Getting a group rate for a business venture -best of luck to you Jewel- is greatly beneficial for all those involved.
