Fixin' to. As in, "I'm fixin' to go to the store, do you need anything?" Wait, you're doing what? You're repairing the store? Well, that's very nice of you, and actually, it would be grand if you would repair my sink, which drips, and some of the sheet rock down stairs still wrecked from Gustav. I live in the South (USA), so I hear this phrase a lot. It doesn't bother me when it happens occasionally (hey, it is the South, and drunkenness happens). But when people say it constantly, it kinda irks me. Not enough to ever correct anyone. Unless I'm not fond of them. Then I want to hand them a hammer and some nails and tell them 'godspeed!'
