DesFIP -> Oldest item in your fridge (10/30/2008 6:48:59 PM)

I was looking in the fridge for some sour cream and saw it said Oct 19 on it. Great! Nice and fresh.

It was Oct 19, 2007. If I hadn't slammed the lid back down fast it would have slithered out of the container. I swear it had grown tentacles. Shudder.

Yes, am expecting Holly to top this. lol

LOL Des..

I have some suntea that I made last summer.. (I really need to get rid of that), and some other stuff that I think has been hiding at the back of the fridge since I moved in over 2 yrs ago..

FR - condiments.  I like to practise safe cookery.

LaTigresse -> RE: Oldest item in your fridge (10/30/2008 7:17:00 PM)

Yes, there are some old condiments that I have no idea when they moved in. I know there is some terriayi (sp?) sauce in there and I hate terriayi sauce. Why it is there, I have no idea. There is also some salad dressing purchased for visitors that I would never touch.

thornhappy -> RE: Oldest item in your fridge (10/30/2008 7:18:19 PM)

Well, when trying to figure out what could possibly smell bad in a nearly empty fridge, I found a 3-cheese blend that went bad.  It was way old.  It now rests in the garbage can and is stinking up the garage!

The tag on the door.  Not because I'm all tidy or obsessive or anything.  Nope.  Just because my fridge is pretty much empty.  I raised 4 boys and finally learned that if I fill it they will come....

...then again, I keep moving, quit stocking the fridge and quit feeding them.... and they keep finding me anyway (sighs).

lighthearted -> RE: Oldest item in your fridge (10/30/2008 8:24:19 PM)
