If you find it bothersome in some way that people are watching, then don't f*cking do it in public.

Status: offline 		From what you say in the OP, I don’t think you did anything that violated protocol imo. I think I would have asked the Dom for permission to give the sub some cheese with that whine.  Complaining about the presence of the public in a public scene,,,, seriously, you are joking?  I suppose if they were on stage the sub would have complained about the applause? 

I understand the set up and that you said “semi private rooms” but that is what they got, semi private.  They were not on view to the whole club.  If they wanted private they should have gone to a hotel or stayed home.

You shouldn't feel like an idiot.

Is a "scene" still a scene if no one is there to see it? Thus a scene with no audience would be no scene at all and therefore ruined.

Status: offline 		I've only played in public once, and yes I was slightly put off by people watching.  BUT I did expect it, and if I was worried at all about it then it's my problem to deal with!  Some things I wasn't prepared to do in front of an audience and my Top knew that and stuck to the boundaries.

This woman clearly either doesn't understand public play and how it works, or she doesn't ever talk to her Top....or both!

Forget it - you did nothing wrong.

Status: offline 		Lynnxz, thank god there's a big difference between feeling like a jackass and being one.   In all honestly, you're probally one of the last people on this message board I'd ever think would be a jackass.   Then again, we all have jackass potential.

You had no idea that it was ruining the scene.  The guy who invited you into the room is the responsible party, he should feel like a jackass. 

If anything, they should have had somebody watching the door and playing bouncer and keeping people out of the room.    It's just the common sense thing to do, to have safeguards and measures in place.   You had no idea that you were violating somebody's private space.   You were waved and motioned to enter.  You were invited to come on in.

No need to kick yourself in the ass and feel aweful about this.

I have to agree with the others, that you did not do anything wrong.

In regards to the idea that the other girl was in the wrong, it is my opinion that we don't have near enough information to make that kind of judgement.  It was an overheard comment without any context. 

I love playing in public.  I enjoy the energy of the space the different furniture that we get to play on.  However, despite how much I enjoy it there are times that the people around the area fuck up my headspace or send it in a direction that I don't enjoy.  The times this has happened, I don't know until I am in the middle of it and sometimes I am not cognizant enough to clearly communicate what the issue is.

As long as these people are not violating the rules of the dungeon then they have done nothing wrong, but neither have I.  It isn't a matter of blame; it is just the consequences of playing.  Somethings things go fantastic and other times they don't.  Sometimes things outside of our control fuck up the experience for us and other times they add to it.  It doesn't make it anyone's fault.
