I take forever in grocery stores.  I have a bad habit of grocery shopping when I am hungry, and I have to resist the urge to buy something that looks tasty but I don't need.  Like others here, I can spend hours in a used book store.  I'm not much of a hardware fanatic.  I can't stand those cavernous hardware stores like Lowe's.  It takes me forever to find anything.  I hate shopping for clothes, and I will do it all online whenever possible.  I do have a fondness for autoparts stores.  I really have to resist the urge of buying a bunch of stupid crap that I don't need.  Guitar shops and gun stores are two other places I can browse in for hours.

Uh oh slaveboy!  Do not go grocery shopping while hungry!  That is almost a sure-fire guarantee to fill up your cart with highly caloric, high-fat junk food and sugar rushes.

I hate the shopping for clothes thing, despise it, growing up with communal dressing rooms harmed me beyond belief, lol.
I do like computer stores, bookstores, and absolutely porn shops(good ones), dom depot is ok tooo oh and dollar stores.Otherwise meh on the whole shopping thing

Another tactic I use to cope with shopping is going when there are fewer people in the stores.  I like going to the grocery store in the middle of the day or late at night, not when people are getting off work and heading home to cook dinner.

The end of the year shopping orgy for the holly days is a guarantee to keep me out of malls.  Once Black Friday hits I stick with Net shopping.

I've learned to tolerate shopping over the years.  I have to do it. I'm the only one in the house who can be trusted to do it.  (what parent gives their kids the money and says...Go spend?  Certainly not I)

But I have to say, I have become thoroughly enthralled with the Boscov's clearance and sales racks.  Just the other week, for $80 I got 6 pair of pants for the kids.  I'd say that was some pretty good shopping.

But other than for necessities...the mall is a pariah.
