It says that men are "shopaholics" too. I could be a "shopaholic" in car and truck showrooms but not for clothing or things like that. I just bought a new Lincoln MKS a few weeks ago so I'm "good to go" for a few years yet. I tend to buy what I "need" and then leave the store like most guys. But, get me in a hardware store or a Lowes and I actually like shopping around! I don't "need" a John Deere riding mower with the 48 inch deck, cupholders and automatic transmission and room for all the attachments but it's fun looking and sitting on them imagining myself mowing the "back 10." Oh, and I "needed" a new Lincoln!

The only time I like shopping is online sitting in a comfy chair, drinking my own coffee and being able to smoke while I surf..not that I like to shop much at all, but online is preferred way these days. Not a shopper really either, I like to wish list, but I know my limits:) Lucy

I have grown to utterly hate shopping, especially at Wal-Mart. [sm=eeew.gif] The exception for me is bookstores. I can spend hours in them.

Put me in Lowe's or Home Depot and I can stay for hours. Put me in Wal-mart and I can't get out fast enough!

I'm the same way with hardware stores.... (must be something in the BDSM personality... you always find us haunting the rope, and chain asiles) But a good used bookstore? Pack a lunch. I'm there for the day.

.. sometimes sexy men are at Lowes. Lowes has declined in the past year. The prices are not that good - nor is the selection. I like shopping when I get what I call a "steal deal." meaning an item so cheap- it is like stealing it. I was thinking- if I could part with my furnishings. Ild say yes- just make sure I have a computer. :-) getting a steal deal is like scoring a buck.

Wine shops, farmer's markets, specialty and gourmet shops, ( love cooking) vintage clothing and funky bookstores, and I am a goner.[:)] Malls make me sad...ew[:(]

I was well known at the Home Depot... I spent many hours, many times a week there, but then my work required it. I still love it and will continue as soon as we move and I need new stuff. I love tools... love paint and gadets and the hint of some kinky stuff too. I have literally blown some minds of some male employee's just for the fun of it and much to my adult daughter's dismay. I wasn't that bad... just bad enough. Okay... I am getting lost here... I love that place! Trigger word for me... Home Depot! So I would be a Home Depot addict. Online shopping is scary... so easy... so fast... so damn handy...but I am learning to temper that. Everywhere else... help... get me outta here for under a hundred please!

Yes, I can spend hours at bookstores, music stores and garden centers. Unlike most women, I hate going through the whole process of trying on clothing and shoes and all that. Online shopping is my preference for such items.

Me too Vendaval. I hate trying on clothes, it gives me such anxiety. Ugh. I would much rather online or catalogue shop and risk having to do a return then do a mall trip and deal with the crowds and the hell of the flourescent lights in the dressing rooms. Yikes![8D]

Good day to you Aynne, LOL...those dressing rooms are so nasty and dreary. It is almost impossible to be comfortable or sit down to remove your pants, the doors do not latch securely, people yap about their personal lives so that you are forced to hear it and then to top it off the lighting make you look jaundiced! Years ago mum drug me to a clothing store that had one huge changing room with benches and circular mirror all around. I was terribly shy and did not even want to remove my top to try on a blouse. But nothing prepared me for the shock of the really large lady wearing knee high stockings and trying to squeeze into a too tight lycra bathing suit. As Richard Simmons says, "Spandex is a privelege and not a right!"

Not a shop aholic but, a fine suit, nice shoes, books....I can agonize for hours over what to buy....takes me at least 2 trips!....I also like the hunt for what I will fix for dinner and how to fix it.....anything else 2 minutes and I am out of there!

I am so much NOT a shopaholic that I bring humanity's score a couple of points just by myself. However there is one place, it's called Electronic Surplus Inc, they are on Broadway in Cleveland. There have been times they had to throw me out because they were closing. You would not believe what these people have. Surplus items from higher tech than you'll ever see at the mega-mart. Lower tech items that come in real handy, for some. Another place like it is Skycraft in Florida, in the Orlando area. The same kind of place, but some different items. Other than that I don't shop. I went to the grocery store the other day, pork chops, kraut, brocolli, beer, cigarettes and a can of nuts. It's like I almost didn't see anything else. They could've had roasted GWB (to be delivered in January) for a buck a pound and I would not have noticed. I know what I want when I walk in. I do not shop. The only thing I did that might resemble shopping is deciding which cut of pork I want. That wound up being the cheapest pork they had. I know that there are people who will go into a Radio Shack for some adapters and such, like to hook their PC up to their stereo, but by the time they walk out the door they are down a grand with a new something like an ipod, more speakers and who knows what else. Not me. Now you judge me, I will admit this and you decide if it is shopping. When I go into the grocery store I first go to the meat counter, or cooler, whatever. I look for those discount tags that appear when something has been around a bit too long. I know how to handle it, either cook or freeze the same day. I look at the big family packs for the most off per pound, and the small packages for the most off on the whole package. If I buy a fifteen pack of chicken leg quarters for seven bucks, something I did not go in there looking for, was I shopping ? I know how to cook those really well. I mean tender and the juice runneth over when you pierce them with a fork. I mean really good. But was I shopping or looking for deals, or are the two indiscernable from one another ? T

Hiya Term, You are basically describing the way men shop in general. They go in and look for what it is they actually need and get it as cheap as possible. That is unless there is a place like your electronics store that can really hold their interests. Then it is like unmentionable in a candy shop. So what are your shopping patterns in a porn shop?
