WhiplashSmile2 -> RE: THe Older Younger and what ever generations (9/18/2008 8:47:06 PM)

I personally don't buy into the Generation bullshit stereotyping! There are people in my own generation I don't relate to, people in older and younger generations that I don't relate to. Generation has nothing to do with it. There are immature people in all age ranges. There are people in their 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's and above that act like spoiled little kids, or are assholes or whatever else. I don't look at age or generation as being an issue. Some people have closed minds about shit and are very wrapped up in their own generation for their own good at times. The Generation Gaps and generational thinking is basically another form of social mind brainwashing and mental conditioning that is an an ill by product of Commercialized Marketing on people. TV ads geared towards promoting people to strongly identified with being in this or that generation. Books on the subject and all kinds of things to target groups of people based on age. It's a stereotype mindset that many people have been brainwashed to believe in this magical pill. An Asshole at age 50 is no different compared to an asshole at age 20. One in the same. Now, somebody want to hang onto living their life like they are stuck in the 70's, 80's or whatever else. It's basically the fact, they are caught up on trying to hold onto and relieve thier own past on a daily basis. Fucking people bitching about today not being like it was 20 years ago or whatever else. Come on get with the program people. Society is dynamic. I really don't have a problem talking with even a 27 year old or a 77 year old. Sure the topics are somewhat different because of personal tastes or interests. However, I listen to newer music and I'm into things going on currently in our society. My experiences are different compared to both these people. In fact, I believe I have just as much to learn from a 27 or 77 as they do from me. Experience, personality and etc are bigger factores compared to age. In fact many teenagers are pretty smart. They have family memebers that have gone through things. Teenagers and kids observe the experiences people around them are going through. They pick up and learn a hell of a lot. Ok, enough of a rant. I'll let everybody get back to thier socially brainwashed conditioned state of mind.
