We cannot "just leave" Iraq at this point.  Nor will the deficit go away.  And banks will continue to fail - the question is whether we will continue to bail them out.

We're screwed either way.  Taxes will have to go up to deal with the deficit.  Changing administrations and expecting the problems to go away is like putting lipstick on a pig.

Status: offline 		I look at this as a veteran who had a variety of commanding officers who quite literally held my life in their hands.

Experience means jack. The experienced guy might be a complete tool who simply kisses the right butts and says yes at the right moments.

What matters is judgement. I want a leader who is smart enough to know his limitations and accept good advice and surround himself with quality people to whom to delegate tasks.

McCain surrounds himself with lobbyists, i.e. professional sycophants, while Obama has hired innovative people who have completely turned the structure of presidential campaigning on its ear. I'll take Obama on judgement and leadership qualities even without the fact that he holds positions I support.

I've seen too many idiots with alot of "experiece" that end up really fucking things up. It means nothing to me anymore.

It doesn't matter if it's relationships, BDSM, or politics.........there are many stupid reckless fools running around waving the "years of experience" banner. It does not guarantee anything.

Keep it simple.Just answer the question as is.

The question is designed to show how even having experience, doesn`t mean you`re on the right course.


You've given insufficient information about guy B.  Does he even know How to steer, or does he just Want to steer without knowing what he's doing?  IF he knows how to steer, does he have Enough experience to know the OTHER hazzards that are in those particular waters, to know that by steering away from the iceburg immediately, he's Definately Not going to ... say... run aground on a reef that he hasn't noticed on the other side?
 
Yeah, guy A currently appears to be aimed at the iceburg, but - do YOU (generic) know enough about how the ship manuvers to know whether it just Looks that way, or it's actually going to hit?  Is it possible that he's maintaining the ship's current course for a reason that you either don't have the knowledge to see, or have overlooked?

Using your example of the Titanic.

The Captain wasn't on the bridge. An inexperienced officer gave the order to reverse engines while at the same time turning the rudder hard to port. As a result the ship cavitated making steering unresponsive; leading to the fatal crash.

Now we'll never know if Captain Smith would have made the same fatal mistake; but if the lower ranking officer lived, his experience would not have led to making the same error again.

Curious why you would make a post so clearly pointing away from your party and its candidate?

Status: offline 		I'd have gone with the female former First Mate who thought of the health and well-being of the passengers and would have listened to the warnings that were given about icebergs in the northern route and who would have consulted a map and taken the more southern route away from the icebergs.
