$1.31 CAD per litre here in Northern Alberta.  That is approximately $4.69 US per gallon.

Fortunately, I only have to fill up about once per month.

in the space of 36 hrs, at the station across from my house, it's gone from 3.55 to 3.79.. I'll be interested to see what it is when I leave for work in the morning

Musicmystery -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 2:31:44 PM)

vixenkneels -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 2:34:19 PM)

SilverMark -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 3:09:13 PM)

I paid $3.99 this morning and have seen it as high as $4.19....Funny thing, the stations that have run out of fuel are right next to the one's with highest prices now.
Couldn't imagine anyone is taking advantage of their fellow drivers....could you?

almost a dollar in less than 12 hours.

Good grief, my eyes would be rolling on the floor. It only jumped 40 cents here so far.........

laura2161 -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 5:39:02 PM)

(fast reply)

Friday morning when I left for work is was 3.53. On the way home it was up to 3.89 with people filling up everywhere so I jumped in line (with my last 20.00 on me)--Thank the stars I drive a small Yaris---

This afternoon its up to 4.09 and thats IF you can even get gas. Many stations are out. My Mom had to hit 4 stations before finding one with gas and my daughter went to four and finally gave up and came home almost empty.

Oh..Im just Northeast of Atlanta.

Ugh- Typos

TieNTeas -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 6:31:49 PM)

So far there's been little change in prices in my area.  Regular is around $3.70.  Premium around $4.00-$4.20

kiwisub12 -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 7:57:24 PM)

So let me  see if i have this right?     The price of oil goes up, and so does the price of gas
                                                      The price of oil goes down, and the price of gas goes up.
I think i see a trend here.

VampiresLair -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 7:58:42 PM)

subeos -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 8:10:29 PM)

[:(] $ 3.63 a gallon today. Got 15 bucks a little over 4 gallons. I drive a VW Golf. But it is still ruthless here in New Mexico.

sappatoti -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/13/2008 8:17:03 PM)

On Thursday gas was $3.69 per gallon on average. Friday afternoon the average had jumped to $4.99 per gallon. Saturday morning, after the governor warned gasoline retailers that the "price gouging" hotlines and investigators are still active (from Tropical Storm Fay), gasoline dropped back down to an average of $3.65 per gallon.

Interesting.

Evility -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/14/2008 4:00:14 AM)

I paid $4.09 last night. Seven stations along the 12 miles from my office to my house. All but one were sold out of regular and mid grade and a few had no gasoline at all to sell. The problem here isn't so much price but availability. People panicked and created a run and pumped the tanks dry - I refused to be one of the sheep and bought gas when I needed to. We're a nation of idiots. Maybe that's why Obama is so popular.

L8bloomer -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/14/2008 4:13:22 AM)

On Friday it was $4.549 on Maui. But I haven't been around a gas station since then to know if it's jumped. Gee whiz, it just started coming down. While everyone else in the country was seeing drops, gas prices in Hawai`i (or at least Maui) barely budged. I think $4.669 was the highest I saw here. (Hana is probably the highest though. But they're on a fairly isolated part of the island, which would explain why.)

Edited to add:

vixenkneels: I must say you have a rockin' bod for any woman. But for a 61 year old you have me wowed and in awe.

MissSCD -> RE: Gas Price Check! (9/14/2008 6:04:26 AM)

Twenty dollars for a bag of ice?   It was a category one.

I want to get a can of spray paint, and go around and fuck up their gas stations.   I have never done anything like that in my life.

We could start now.

Let's get the governors mansion too, and not forget our loving President's house.

Just came back from church.  Don't get me wrong.  I love my Pastor.  He kept saying that we were not a happy look crowd.  I guess that is because we were sharpening our knives in our pockets not against him of course, but the gougers.  I get to work three hours today with gas like it is, and he tells me not to give up.    It is not worth it anymore.

Hang in there MissSCD, this is the modern version
of the 30s depression era.
We will get through it.

MzMia:  You are a sweetheart.  I just read the website again, and the state passed a gouging law.   Hopefully, that will help.
