My driving is just fine.

Ask any officer patroling these streets; they've all weighed in, LOL.

So.. I was reading a thread in another forum and someone wanted to know about getting recompensated for being a live in slave.  Apart from the fact that I think it is hard to forego your life and future social security by not working I have to wonder how hard is it to run a home?

LOL, social security. That's so cute! [:D]

I think it depends on the circumstances. I imagine if you've got a bunch of spawn running about the place, then it can be a full-time job. If you're just doing basic housekeeping for two, not really. If you're maintaining property and animals and vehicles and doing home improvements and so forth in addition to the housework AND working full time, you're seriously fuckin' busy. Except when you're wasting time on the internet [&:]

I've just always looked at it this way: A job is something you do so that someone will give you money so that you can buy the things you need to live your life. If you can skip right to living and bypass the job part, you're way, way, way ahead of the game.

Re social security.. yeah I know, I am old and I am more than positive I wont be getting any.  However, that does not mean that I could not collect some degree in the event I am injured.  I don't expect to collect anything.
But, having had 4 kids, sans child support, been a working parent, AND raised kids who didn't drink, take drugs, or make me a grandparent, doing the housework stuff was cake in my opinion.  Especially since I grew up still making tortillas, ironing shirts, and hanging up the wash outside.
Now that I am older and there are fewer people to care for, frankly if I had to be a housewife I would be stir crazy by now.  As it is, I have a business, still create art, and make quilts because there is not enough to do.
Living for me means I can be busy.
LOL I never plan to retire either.
