Regarding the banana law. Recently they looked at reducing the standardisation laws concerning food thinking that food wastage issues were far more important.

Why are we spending vast amounts of wealth both in resources and human lives to fight wars abroad, when the real enemy is within. The enemy being these wankers with nothing better to do in their lives except legislate against anything and everything that is in our daily existence. By the time we have solved all the problems abroad, our own countries will be so tightly bound in pc red tape, we might consider moving to these sorted out countries because our own country won't be worth living in.

I didn't take offence and I don't take offence but class 1 bananas are needed for straight adverts because class 2 are so bent they only useful for double penetration. Actually this would be lost on Brits because they don't have banana programmes like they do over this side of the channel.

The classifications are such that you can be in John o Groats and buy class1 cumcumbers from Italy and know what you are buying without seeing them. You can by class2 for a lower price and get what you are given, knowing only that they have to be fresh and fit to eat.

When someone talks about the society they enjoy they are often forgetting about those who enjoy it a little less and want things to change a little. Your views vs the views of an MEP, I don't know who is right but there would be something wrong if we weren't trying to improve society for everyone. Not everyone is happy with the status quo, it's all about minimising extreme positions.
