I think at times looking into someones eyes directly may be able to tell you alot but other times no.

I mean really i can make my eyes look completely vacant like I don't have a single thought going through my head at all.

Other times people think i'm thinking something when I am not. I've been asked if I'm angry when in actuality i'm totally zoned.

I think alot of people see what they want to see when they look in your eyes.

I've gotten all kinds of corny responses about my picture on here lol everything from " I can feel your slave soul calling to me" to "I'm positive you are a Domme cause you don't have the submissive look" lmao [:D]

Basically I think that people see what they want to see from an online picture.  I just love it when they come off all intelligent like... positioning you to move in for the kill. lol

In person... the eyes are amazing!

In person eyes really are the mirror to the soul.
I'm tempted to go to the wiki and put in the stuff about NLP here but i am guessing you know that stuff anyways (or can go to the Wiki......) But it's really amzing that in recall the eyes move in one direction and in bullshit they move in the other.
Now when i submit there's a choice of two ways my eyes will want to go: either to look my D in the eyes which is my bratty self...it's a kind of fuck you if you think you're going to take me....it usually gets the worse (the best) response. But at least for a few moments i get to look my d in the face.
The other position is to look down and averted which is in itself an act of submission. But it's akin to being blindfolded. NOT seeing what's going on, or what's about to go on not only focuses the process on pute sensation but it trult helps me to stop obsessing/reflecting upon myself and to focus entirely upon what is being required of my body.
I love the darkness......

Sandyshores29718 -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/13/2008 3:12:23 PM)

In person yes, I can see a lot in a persons eyes, though its harder for me to read a persons eyes and tell they are submissive. To tell if someone is submissive or not I watch how they act and react to things around them. *shrug* Just for some reason I can tell if a person is a Dom by how their eyes react on certian subjects.

Maybe start a thread on random stupidity about the corniest mail comments (respecting the mailer's screen name OF COURSE).
I do love eye make-up though, changing the subject a little. Different make-up makes me feel like a different person. I love thick black kohl eye pencil ines around my eyes. I love delicate pink eye shadow. I love mushy brown smudgy stiff anf also that flicked up eye liner style that Amy Whinehouse wears. My eye make-up is an extension to what i wear and sometimes being the only thing i wear.
I absolutely love the piercing i had through my eyebrow which runs along the line of the eyebrow itself. I shave the eyeborw itself along the line of the bar so it looks like this
.          . happens on one side of my head. I do daily eye exercises to keep my facial muscles strong and usually do them whilst listening to the car radio. It makes me look like i have facial ticks i guess.
We have an ad. here in the UK for male deoderant. The actor has the ability to roll his eyes in either direction (to check his armpits for persiration). I don't even know the product but when he stops sweating his eyes straighten out.
If a guy did that with his eyes (like differential rolling them around) it would seriously freak me out. I like recessive blue eyes.....the kind of blue that just turns up in families where mostly there are brown eyes. It has a certain blueness which is kind of well recessive......
rambling now.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/13/2008 3:59:43 PM)

It's a nice romantic ideal that I see no harm in enjoying when it suits your purpose.

A friend of mine told me that my partners eyes were very "come hither" and made her all squishy inside when she looked at a certain pic of him.  Of course that night he was delightfully submissive to me and we both thought he looked a little dumbstruck.  Go figure.

Can you see submission or dominance in someone's eyes?

Personally... I think we see what we want to see...  I also think that we also project what we see in the eyes by what we see in other manners or behaviors that we see.

In my opinion if a person was given flash cards of all sorts of eyes... they would have as much luck guessing they are submissive or Dominant as you would flipping a coin.

But, having said that... I think we have might have particular preferences of eyes that will appeal to us more than others.  Maybe this comes from our first contact that we see when we enter this world.  Our parents and people that cared for us might be the preferred eyes for us in some deep way... a preference that we might not be actually conscious of.

I would think that when we observe some that appeals to our specific orientation and have eyes that suit our preference... well it will have some emotional value to us and .. as I said.... we see what we want to see.

I know... it's not very romantic....but I am not big on the romance.... especially when it involves lying to ourselves for the purpose of inflating our egos

IvyMorgan -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/13/2008 6:03:52 PM)

My eyes change, even their colouring.

I'm awful at eye contact, especially in crowds/noisy places, because I lip read a lot.

A top told me there was something sadistic in my eyes, and a few hours later had me flopped over a bench beating me senseless.

I guess the answer is, I'm really not sure.  But you know I'm feeling brave and trusting round you if I do make eye contact and hold it.  ( I know, I'll do public speaking thingies in the Union Chamber but not look soft in the eye when she's saying she likes my cake... so sue me)

I do like my eyes though, they're one of my better features.  And I like looking at other people's eyes too.  But only when they aren't looking.

Yeah, there's something about brown eyes that do that to people.

and its why i like my glasses.  i can hide to a certain extent behind them, and not let just anyone in to see who i really am till i *choose* to.

kitten, thoughtfully

I've got dark brown eyes as well.   I've been told my entire life that my eyes give me away.   I too think that my glasses allow me to "hide" a bit.

I do think a person can "read" a lot by looking into someone's eyes.   It may be a combination of their moods or emotions and what we feel about that person and what we want to see.   But I swear I've seen some eyes that really, if looks could kill, I would have been dead a hundred times over.

Daddystouch -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/13/2008 7:09:19 PM)

It's possible. Not always though. Depends on the person and their mood.

djaleksandr -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/13/2008 7:54:37 PM)

Eyes are certainly expressive, but oftentimes, they hide more than they reveal.

Owner4SexSlave -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/13/2008 8:03:13 PM)

I can see it in the eyes in the real time. however, not just from a snap shot picture   unless they are going for that look intentionally and pull it off.

You can tell alot from a person through their eyes; but, it's profiling, and therefore prone to fault.  You can't truly determine dominance (or anything other core personality trait) without experiencing the whole personality.  I know alot of people who have dominant eyes but are very passive (and submissive).

MistressOfGa -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/13/2008 10:10:56 PM)

Since I am legally blind, I suppose that my "feeling" their reactions will have to do. I have been told that I can "bring a man to his knees" with a certain look I have. I don't know the look, but my family calls it the "Karen look" lol whatever the hell that means. *s* I have had many comments regarding my eyes.

angaothsi -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/14/2008 12:19:04 AM)

From a photo? I dont think so. However in person a lot can be read in the eyes.

HCWT1 -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/14/2008 12:32:47 AM)

The eyes have it,if i look into a persons eyes and have to look away or down, then that person is of interest to me.the most interesting are useually in the vanilla world though. One allways wonders?.

MaamJay -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/15/2008 7:52:19 AM)

I'm another who says in real life yes, from a photo no. It's one reason why I would never impose eye contact restrictions, I just love a pair of soft subby eyes gazing up at Me! And Master enjoys that too from violet.

I've been told my blue green eyes have a submissive shy gaze about them.

That is of course unless I want sex.

Then they just burn through your clothes and my lashes lick you to orgasm.

what will eyelash curlers do?  a dildo???....LMAO [:D][:D][:D]

MistressRouge -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/15/2008 12:52:10 PM)

I have been told that my eyes are my best feature. Large, brown and expressive lol [:)]

I really adore the gaze of a submissive, especially sub spaced.

Glazed and glossy, pupils dilated, the occasional tear, divine! Regardless of iris tone.

proudsub -> RE: The Eyes Have It (8/15/2008 1:35:06 PM)

I've seen a lot of old movies that were taken of me when i was very young and noticed that when i walked my eyes were always looking down.  I'm not sure if it was because i was shy back then or because i was submissive.
