EbonyPhoenix, I have read in passing (not that it makes a viable difference when or where) that although white males are very unlikely to seek medical attention or service for day to day things (thereby raising their risk of succumbing to surprises that could have been caught) black males are even less likely by some humongous factor, to do so. While I guess that's part of the black experience, that is one that everyone could do without and that's preventable. The rest of it? We'll see. 6

rats... I played the Hot Buttered Soul album until it was threadbare on my 8 track. Now, HE sang RAP! Though his voice I discovered a absolute love for very deep voices. I'd just melt :)

They say that Paul Newman only has weeks to live and has been moved to his home so he would be more comfortable and with family.

I actually had the pleasure of working with both Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes this past Feb/Mar on the upcoming movie, "Soul Men". Both were super nice and I had lunch with Mr. Hayes one day. I even gave him my dessert because it was the last one the caterer had and he had wanted one. He suffered a stroke a while back and was very, very fragile, but still the epitomy of "cool". Bernie had pneumonia then and had to have oxygen tanks everywhere he went. We had to cut our filming short a couple of days because he was so ill. Two very sad passings indeed. [&o]
