While I guess that's part of the black experience, that is one that everyone could do without and that's preventable.  The rest of it?  We'll see.

I actually had the pleasure of working with both Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes this past Feb/Mar on the upcoming movie, "Soul Men".  Both were super nice and I had lunch with Mr. Hayes one day.  I even gave him my dessert because it was the last one the caterer had and he had wanted one.  He suffered a stroke a while back and was very, very fragile, but still the epitomy of "cool".

Bernie had pneumonia then and had to have oxygen tanks everywhere he went.  We had to cut our filming short a couple of days because he was so ill.

Two very sad passings indeed. [&o]
