nhite -> need a new word (8/7/2008 8:50:44 AM)

i found a play partner who was able to take me somewhere no other doms have;  we're not collared and its going to be but i find i respond strongly to him

i was trying to figure out my feelings for it and i realized i really dont have a word for it.   in some ways i want to say i love him and what he does;  but its not love like i've defined it before - the getting married etc etc thing;    its not like, its more intense with that

so i'm curious if others have found words...  it doesnt change how i feel but it would be nice to be able to convey it easier than  "love you but not in that way you dont want and its not being married kind of love but intense and different than that"  lolll

"You rock me".

How about "adore"?

It's one of my favorites.  Particularly when used as "consider yourself adored."  Deep enough to convey what I'm feeling, light enough not to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

OK. Throws stones at cali.

I call it chemistry, BSB and I have some serious chemistry, we frequently take each other to places we have never before explored.  Treasure that feeling for it is rare.

I find LUST works well.

Might want to be careful with that word. It also means to love deeply and completely.

I think Mary Poppin's had a word for it... but I am not going to try and spell it!  But seriously... give it a bit of time, because one day the word will just be there and you will know in your heart it is the one.

I have the same exact kind of love for my slaves.  It is not the eros love that is symbolized by Hallmark cards and a dozen red roses, but it is an abiding, bonding, intense, and very real love that can not be denied.

"The connection" in my book.  I started a thread trying to describe this very thing, then a few weeks later I read a post from Mercnbeth that said it really beautifully and I found very moving.

It's something very deep and trying to sum it up fully with one word does not seem to do it justice.

Amazing, is it not?

DarkSteven -> RE: need a new word (8/7/2008 6:25:14 PM)

Cherish.

windchymes -> RE: need a new word (8/7/2008 6:30:42 PM)

"You don't suck"?

E2Sweet -> RE: need a new word (8/7/2008 6:45:46 PM)

It's "giggity"... I looked it up. [;)]

Just enjoy what you feel and let things happen. Words tend to box people in and then things change and those words can lose the meaning they once held.

nhite -> RE: need a new word (8/8/2008 5:16:29 AM)

there's no way in the world for me to NOT try and express it!!!  it's that intensely powerfully WOW

Noella -> RE: need a new word (8/9/2008 2:06:00 AM)

How about passion? The problem with things like this is that everyone has their own preconcieved notions and mental undertones to words. To you, "love" may be gentle, hearts and flowers stuff, but to someone else it's passion, fire, mind-boggling. And after a while, say a word too often, and it looses its meaning. Say the word "passion" twenty times in a row and it will start to sound like something completely different.
