Status: offline 		1 wooden paddle (a sort of oversized ping-pong thingie she picked up at a garage sale.. lasted about 7 whacks - the inspiration for this thread actually)
7 Hairbrushes (5 plastic and 2 wooden)
3 wooden spoons
2 hand mirrors (1 plastic-backed,1 wood-backed)
2 yardsticks
countless rulers (now I have one of those art classroom rulers. It's tough and has a nice weight to it but before that the average life expectancy of a ruler was one session)

It has become a running joke for us now and I have been considering getting her a trophy case for the victims of her 'buns of steel'
Anyone else keep track of such things?

edited because I can.. maybe I will just come back and change this tally every time I break something new in lieu of building her a trophy case.  That will save having to explain things to the occasional 'nilla visitor.

Status: offline 		I have had canes and paddles  broken over my ass , and i have intern  broken  paddles , rulers , a boat oar , wooden spoons , canes , and  some ping pong  paddles  on some other  more iron bums than my own . When things are broken i sign and date them with a nice lil message and gift them .I know one person who has a  ever growing collection on her walls of broken items .LOL and no they are not all from me .

And he has broken a number of our canes on my ass

Aww..  Well I suppose I can just add a post for each new time her ass triumphs over whatever toy I took after her with this time.  She is most especially proud of the "shatterproof" ruler which, of course, shattered into I-can't-tell-you-how-many-pieces upon coming into contact with the diamond-hard surface that my subs ass has now transformed into.  I am looking forward to adding countless canes to the list, as soon as I can get her to stop screaming her safe-word before I've even really gotten warmed up with it (so is she actually - she wants to be able to take much more).  I am currently taunting her (read: scareing the holy shyte out of her) with the preparation of a pseudo-semi-scientific study of different types of wooden switches (elm, birch, cherry, etc.), to see which will last the longest before breaking.  Maybe I will publish that one.

Status: offline 		My favorite toys are wooden canes. I have a friend that makes them for me. He shapes them out of a solid piece of wood and calls them "blade canes." I have broken 3 or 4 of them now, and a couple were broken a second time, after they've been "repaired." (They just get shorter each time...LOL!) I've also broken heavy paddles.

The funny thing about the canes is that he likes when I break them. He's an engineer and he likes to do woodworking on the side. So when I break them, he likes to study them. I guess it appeals to his geak nature. LOL!

I don't bother with wooden spoons or rules...they're not designed to withstand the punishment, and they can have sharp edges that do unintended damage.

I want some of those canes that are unbreakable..."wicked wands" I think they're called. They're entirely flexible but very thin and nasty. :)

Uhmmm, have you considered saving money by not buying those things in the first place, and using said saved money to buy a proper tool like a paddle (not ping pong) or rattan cane (not yardstick)?  I play quite heavily with my boy, and seldom break a tool (note I don't call them "toys").  We have canes that are over ten years old, still as nice as the day they were bought.  Cheap crap is just that....

Oh I own some fine storebought equipment but I use what I like and I call them "toys" when I do.  But then I also call my Makita a toy... you say tomato, blah blah, oh and another big difference: In my line of work I have heard people refer to periaktoi (a three-sided scenic element traditionally used in ancient Greek plays) as "toblerones" (A three sided candy bar) but never implied to those who did that I am superior for using different terminology either, amazing that, hmmm?    

Coming from a theatrical tradition, I am fond of what we in the theater biz call 'object transformation' which is just a fancy term for improvising new and interesting uses for whatever comes into our hands.  I am not particularly strapped for cash and my toys are not what you would call expensive, so I don't get all worried that I will go bankrupt replacing them when one breaks.  I have yet to cause any damage that I did not intend with one and I doubt seriously that I ever will since I do try them out on my own flesh first, just to be sure I know what I am going to be putting her through.  I am a scenic designer, master carpenter and master electrician by trade, so I am very familiar with the tensile strength and load bearing capacity and so on and so forth of everything that comes into my hands (what continues to surprise me is the hardness of her butt).  I have been doing this without incident for more than 20 years now, so it is not exactly a new thing for me. I also build my own suspension equipment and have yet to have a problem with it (I have even SAFELY flown actors professionally using my own rigging). 

I guess some people are simply more capable of making good use of cheap crap right up until it breaks than others.  Since I am one of them, I dont consider that a character flaw.

Status: offline 		My goodness, Maxwell.  My apologies for getting you so riled up.  I didn't mean to imply that I am in any way superior to you, just wanted to point out that if you use things that were made to hit people with, they wouldn't break the way the cheap crap does.  If you like using rulers and hand mirrors and find it fun, you go right ahead.  It just seemed an odd premise for a thread: "look, I'm using stuff that isn't made for this purpose, and it breaks."
