I feel that Friendship is second only to a Relationship however both work the exact same way. Friendships are fragile and require both parties working toward making them better. When only one person is working then the friendships are off balance and tend to fail.

I would be there for my friends through thick and thin even when I may think that friend is wrong or mistaken, I would back them up when they need backing up and I would leave them be when they need let be. I would NOT Lie Cheat or Steal from or for my friends and I would also care enough about them to never give them a Hand Out, but a Hand up when they need it. Mostly I would always try to maintain a balance of Friendlyness and Tough Love because sometimes you really need your Friends to point out what a DipShit you are being, and tell you to drop the pride and Man the Fuck Up and take care of your business, and stop acting like the sky is falling chicken little and just deal with what is going on.

I would BE THERE for them no matter what, but I would not Support Bad Decisions or Bad Behavior. I would attempt to give them guidance and direction as much as they were willing to accept but when they stopped responding to it then I could no longer continue doing it. Sometimes people just need to learn the cold hard facts that life is hard. Also I find it does no good to present someone with options that aren't willing to take. Support and Coddeling are two very different things and both can be equally as destructive.

Not taking advantage of someone just because you know you can. Always doing everything you can to make a situation better. Never walking away when you are needed most.
