Well... I have a cat who always meows in something of a fearful, and objecting manner everytime she is in the room when I spank (or any other painfully noisey venture) my slave. Has anyone else had a protective pet who has done something like this? A cat no less???

My chinchillas have witnessed dozens of spankings and could not care less.

Is it the spanking that your cat is reacting to, or your slave's response to the spanking?

thats funny...i have a couple of cats who sometimes sleep at the bottom corners of my bed...they are my 'gardians' so to speak...they usually only sleep there when there is much negative energy flowing thru the area....i wonder how they will act when i finally find a partner....very interesting ...

i used to have a puppy...we had her 14 years and whenever the kids and i would wrestle and play she was ok....unless i yelped suddenly...then she would jump up and come running and smell me and the kids and make sure we were all ok...amimals can be very protective of their loved ones....
thanks for sharing...

Dark - it is to the spanking itself. Half the time my slave doesn't react (light swats, or just restraining) but she (the cat) always mews or sometimes makes a weird little chirping sound that none of my other cats have ever made.

peacelili.... I have heard of pets (especially dogs) getting superly protective when someone gets hurt or seems upset. I've just never seen it when they are being hurt in a..... pleasurous way... Pets are wonderful. It really is amazing how they sense our needs and feelings at times...

My little girl has always sat at the door watched the event (if the door was open) waited for the male to leave the room hop up nuzzle my face then lay down on TOP of the reddened tender flesh and then pads her paws (thank gods shes declawed {i didnt do it to her}) over it to make me whine out in more pain as if to say, what do you mean I'm not a good enough owner for you... why do you need him...

Cant wait to see what she does the first time im tied up in the house...

I have an african grey that adds her whipping noises when Sir and i are playing in the dungeon.   and i have a pair of conures that came flying into the dungeon when we were playing.( read that to mean that i was yelling!)

with the parrots i'm thinking it is the flock response to being out of their sight.

I had a friend once who had a dog that was part doberman and part rott. The dog was VERY protective of his wife.

One day, they were having sex and forgot to shut the bedroom door. My friend's wife made a ooh-ee noise and the dog burst through the door and bit my friend in the ass.

They got rid of the dog shortly after that.

The dog's name was fittingly, Lucifer.

After that, I never needed any hints. Now days, when my Master comes over, my dog (who would love someone to death before he ever contemplated biting them) is locked up - just to be sure.

I'm not taking any chances - especially when it'd be my Master's ass this time.

It was a funny story when my friends told me their experiences. It's a lesson learned for my own life.

Heh. I thought this was going to be a much different topic.

If we're playing with impact instruments, the dog needs to be locked away from us.  Even though he's my dog and I'm the one wielding the flogger, say, he doesn't get aggressive so much as he's all:  <nose in the crotch>  So, what'd you do to make Mom mad?  Ooooohh, you're in trouble now!  Hey!  Since you're just standing there, wanna pet me?  Hey!  Hey!!!

So yeah.  He goes away for the duration (and is rather grumpy about being kept away from the fun).  When we're not in the middle of impact play, he adores my (human) pet though, and the two of them get along famously.

The cat, well - she just rolls her eyes, unless my pet is tied flat, in which case sometimes she comes to check him out, but usually she ignores him.  She's just too good for whatever crazy things we're doing now.

my dogs have always been outside the bedroom during play, i'm not sure how they'd react and i'm not taking chances, they're very protective.  the cats ignore everyone unless they're in the mood for affection, then they could care less what you're doing, they'll sit on your chest and stare at you.

My cat has been locked out of the room since he decided to leap at Master with his claws extended while Master was holding me down on day.

We have more trouble with our korat Shadowchaser when we get in the shower than we do when we play.  When we play he usually sits on the end of the bed, chin on his paws and watches intently.  My ragdoll Lacey sits on the floor and chats - he's pretty verboise.  Every now and then Shadow lifts his head - mostly if I yelp - and will chirp at Lacey.  I think they're collecting info on the goofy stuff humans do.  All bets are off though when the shower starts.  Shadow starts crying and circling and patting at the curtain.  "Get out of the water. What are you doing?" and if I'm not in the water with Master, I get these terrible looks of "he's in there all wet and you're just going to stand there?!"

I don't have a wierd cat/BDSM story, but some cats are just strange in the things they react to. My parents have a cat that starts to meow any time someone sneezes. She also goes to the door and meows when the dogs want in.

If it's just the spanking that does it, it's probably the sound that triggers it. Paddle quietly.

One of our cats is obsessed with getting in on after-snuggling. I think he's picking up on the happy hormones. Sometimes slightly annoying, but that's it. :P

i had a Yorkie or a Silkie (i dunno...he had silver hair instead of black) and he was the best, most obediant dog...until there was any sort of noise whatsoever coming from the bedroom. He then became a whirling dervish of scratching at the door, barking, whining and circling madly at the crack under the door until it was opened and he could make sure that everyone was ok in there. We thought that putting him outside might fix that, but our bedroom was in the walkout basement so the windows were basically ground level....so the behavior repeated outside, alerting any neighbor out in their yard that something hinky was happening over at the Lesbians House...(we overheard someone refer to us that way at a barbeque). Finally i had to give him to my mother in another state....he was getting arthritic and crabby so he was becoming nippy. Unfortunately for my mother, his behavior has not popped up since his arrival in her house....

My dog was like this. She usually wanted to be with us, but if play started she fled the room. However she was also afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks so my theory was that it was the noise of a loud spanking that upset her. She had no problem if I was being tied up or clamped, just spanking.
