I have rather strong political views, and I am happy to engage in a discussion with many people. Frenchy has very few political opinions, and refuses to vote. This is something I find bothersome, but since politics play such little part in they way he thinks and conducts his life, his vote just kind of wouldn't matter. In terms of the day-to-day stuff that couples niggle about - I have reached this conclusion: In terms of the little stuff - there is very little of it that matters enough that i want to make him feel crummy, and if we don't mostly agree on the big stuff, we shouldn't be together. That said, I do not have the experience of trying to raise a child with anyone. I tend to think that the old adage "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" applies more often than not.
