Ohhhh, puppen, you're voicing my thoughts exactly! I had to kick my father out of my place when he came over drunk. I escaped from his house when I lived there w/my daughter. She was about 10, he came home drunk & tore the house apart, she/I hiding in my room. I called the police, they came, let me load up my car...including 2 guinea pigs, before they left. I tried that father/daughter relationship thingy again once I was settled after he assured me he'd never show up drunk. He did alot of the "fix up" work in my "fixer upper", but he came over drunk/I told him to get out. Get out/never come back again. It broke my heart/my heart still hurts for what "coulda been". hugs Puppen..yeah, Daddy died 2.5 yrs ago... I'm not going to tell you the usual cliche stuff about "you'll regret it..blah blah"..only YOU know if it's worthwhile to work on it. I will say, though, that I do regret the time wasted between me and my dad, and that I treasure the time we had when we weren't at each others throats.,.. smooch

I'm sorry you lost your father. But, I am so happy for you that an attempt was made and he left on positive terms. I'm trying with him, Monkey, but... It's hard. 18th birthday he demanded a paternity test to prove I wasn't his. He has beaten me mentally and physically, hurt my family... I can't look at him without feeling discontempt. But, I am trying.

I might have people talk down to me, have me kneel, etc... But, that is because I gave them that right. They did not take it from me.
