NeedingMore220 -> RE: Rangel's 4 rent stabilized apartments (7/11/2008 10:53:56 AM)

You're welcome ... Personally, I'm getting tired and worn out. I can't muster up the indignity needed to demand anything of the idiots we elect into congress, regardless of what side of the political sphere they are on. (And this is coming from someone who detests Rangel.) Generally I go in and vote for the party that represents my POV most. Sometimes I vote for a person, but that is getting more rare. Here in NJ we have such a huge amount of corruption and wasted money and idiots in charge that it's demoralizing, truly. When I see it on the national scale, it's just as bad. Neither of the presidential candidates interest me - both have negatives which prohibit my voting for either of them. The third party candidates haven't got a chance. I almos feel like saying that we're going to hell in a handbasket ... BUT what holds me back from that is the fact that this has been said about society at about every point in our history. Someone somewhere held no hope for the country - doomsday was coming. And it never arrived. So, I figure this too will turn around. I don't think it will have much to do with who's in power, so much as the people who live here, quietly raising their families, and doing what they can to not only get by but to be happy and thrive.
