I didn't realize I did it myself until a friend, whom I met on Collarme, asked me to send her pictures of titty clamps (my favorite) based on a prior post. After a few sets, she asked me to concentrate on photos of the big tittled gals in a variety of clamps because that's how she identified and the flat chested babes didn't do a thing for her.

Status: offline 		No, I tend to see photos as documentation of the scene that was photographed. Which, unfortuantely, prevents me from really getting into most of the porn that I actually like - rather than being turned on, I simply get violently, depressingly jealous.

Aural and literary porn are far more exciting and the construction of a story or a scene and the subsequent use of imagination are far more of a turn on than any two dimensional picture.

And plenty of slaves that email us say they like the pics on the Academy site and imagined themself in the pic in place of the slave in the pic. Status: offline 		I love porn. I am a very visually oriented person. However, I don't look at bdsm porn as something to turn me on. When I look at it, it is usually to get ideas for me to use in the future or to dream about new toys to use on a slave. Sometimes I imagine myself in the place of the domme and my slave in the place of the slave in the pictures. I try to imagine how I would handle that type of scene and how well my slave would respond to it. I don't get off on bdsm porn anymore than I would get off on reading a dictionary. They are both just informative.

Status: offline 		No, I don't put Myself in the place of other people's pictures.  I have quite the library of My own scattered throughout the files of My PC, and even a few short videos.  Can those kinds of things work Me up?  Sure, but only because I was really there.  Then again, unless I'm at someone else's demo for learning, I'm more about doing, than watching.

Status: offline 		i only look at certain types of porn, and not to place myself in the picture or for fantasy's sake, but to get ideas for implements and styles that i can use, and to look at the drapes and critique surroundings!

We have a large collection of pics of us and our poly family, taken during sessions, they are private and are great to look through and remember old times, but not to get off from.

Personally, i cannot place myself into a scene on a page because i cannot feel the emotions underlying the image, and it is just a sterile view without that.

Good point! I shouldn't have generalized so <squirm> ... I didn't mention it (you did though), but, it would be the same with black guys but not vice versa, wierdly. A black guy with a black girl doesn't allow any room for me, and neither does an Asian guy with an Asian gal - but, a white guy with either an Asian or black gal (Mmmmummm... maybe even both at the same time!) gets my watermelon seeds going!  (Let me know if I'm attempting to wax too eloquently in my squirming off the seat attempt at explanation of my apparent prejudices...)

Likewise, good point with the sophmoric "titty", as misturbation noted, I've a certain inner uncomfortableness, what with my Roman Catholic upbringing around ardent feminists, using words used to convey the female anatomy, particularly, shall we say, that lovely appendage named breasts, boobs, boobies, teats, knockers, mammaries, bust, bosoms, hooters, melons, knockers, racks, jugs, and,  in impolite company, tits & titties that I love to hold, kiss, caress, clamp, smack, and otherwise manhandle even as I bumble about with direct references to their naming...

Nonetheless, the main point was whether you also inevitably place yourself as the dominant or submissive persona in D/s related porn, hogtied included! :)
