I couldn't help but be curious after reading a post from cuddlemesoft,

quote:

When he has a fist full of my hair and pulls to my knees it quickly stops me in my tracks.

what stops others in thier tracks? I must admit just her words sent a little shiver through me, though with my history of pressing people to get reactions there was only one who worked out how to turn the tables on me. All he had to do was tighten his hands around my throat and sink his teeth into it for me to shut up immediantly and lose my cocky smile. Pity that was only when I irritated him, in the end he was still just a insecure boypup.

So the question stands: what stops you in your tracks? or what has someone done to let you know you've gone to far?

I'm on my way out but I look forward to reading replies when I get back!

It doesn't always have to be a physical thing.  A look or a tone to His voice or even a simple "stop" or "enough"  with a certain inflection in the word.

Seeing that I apparently have a reputation if sone quarters of being a tad too slow or cautious and have a pedantic nature prefering to do things correctly even if it means going slowly, rarely in the lifestylre does it happen that iI have gone too far. On the rare occasions I have, I know myself, possibly by the body language of others. In other areas of my life I back my mpoves and stand behind them untill I am proved (to my satisfaction) I have been wrong.

I am told that the biggest warning I give out is that I become very calm and my voice gets flat and unemotional

Being pressed against a wall with his hand on my throat and some face slapping completely puts my brain on hold.  I'm putty after that.

I am seeing two different questions here.  So I will answer both.

Darcy and his ability to be himself regardless of the situation.  Makes me stand in awe every time and go 'wow'.

a look usually makes me giggle or squirm like a puppy on a lead

or he hooks his fingers into my collar and pulls me up to him - that works quite well!

I cannot think of much of anything that stops me in my tracks. (usually because I am walking around with my head in the clouds anyway....)

As for going too far......I cannot think of a time when I have, to use as a point of reference. I tend to proceed with caution. I would rather have someone say later "you could have (fill in the blank) more." and make a mental note for the next time. Instead of "You crazy fucked up bitch!!!!! I am calling the cops!"

This was a curious question... and I wasn't actually sure what I did stopped my girls in their tracks... so I asked.

I stopped them in a few ways... some have a Positive context... but others are negative.

Positive.....

Alandra - It's when I give her Praise.
Kyra... It's a look in my eyes when we play... "I going to hurt you.. and you not going to like it"

Negative...

Both the same actually... It's my displeasure or anger..... for both their world stops... and they are focused on me and what I want... they are rather eager to do what they can to assist in changing this mood.

With my ex, it was when his eyes seemed to turn really dark during play and I knew what was coming next was going to hurt like hell and take all my endurance to get through *S*

With Sir it's when he raises an eyebrown and gets that scary little smile on his face, cause you just never know exactly what it is he's thinking.

First, a question not addressed. What causes me to need to be stopped in my tracks?
Response; emotional issues.
Therefore telling me he was disappointed in me for being upset isn't going to be helpful.

What does work is to be pulled into his arms so I can feel safe enough to cry and then ask for his help.

All the punishment in the world won't make me feel safe. Being held does.

Now if I'm just not focused, then his hand over my mouth will get me to stop talking and focus.

When my woman's ace lights up with that beautiful smile

When she does something for me the moment I am thinking about how badly I need it but before I have asked for it

When she says "oh god that hurts please stop" and her eyes flare especially wide in terror, sometimes she is hating that she loves it and sometimes she just means "please stop"...so far I have called it pretty well and stopped when she really couldn't take it.

What stops me in my tracks?  It's 'that look'.  He's looking straight into my eyes, and there's just the hint of a smile on his face.  It makes my heart race in fear, and the rest of me melt in excited anticipation...

I know immediately when I've gone too far, or done something wrong.  First is the physical punishment. He knows that I enjoy that, so He makes sure it pushes me as far as I can go, and a little beyond (but never more than I can take).  The worst bit happens afterwards...He hugs me as I come down from subspace, and asks me to tell Him what I did wrong.  Then I'm asked how I should be punished further (if He thinks it's necessary).  At this point I'm usually crying, or very close.  Just His having to ask me this knows how much I've disappointed Him, and helps me to remember next time what I need to do.

My responce to the other side of the question is when I am roiaring, things are usuaslly ok and I'm playing, unless you are answering me back or trying to talk me down in which case i promise the entire heighbourhood will hear clearly every word I bellow (I have been easily heard over a force 5 gale before today and my parade ground voice is still as strong as ever as is my rather salty vocabulary when needed. Normally the initial and probably indicator that you have gone too far is I become very still, my eyes turn black and my voice is very low and icey cold. At that time it is wise to stop and listen and think very carefully before you open your mouth unless it is to answer a question... If you are in a house or my personal collar be sure that you have been displeasing.

Greetings,

Any touch on my neck or face, but especially a slap, will absolutely stop me in my tracks.  One thing he does infrequently, when I am about to leave he will shove me against the wall and kiss me hard and deep until I can't breathe or think.  omg, it is the most wonderful feeling!  Luckily it is not very often that he does this since I am probably not the safest driver after.

Something else he does is a simple word and pressure point combination to instantly put me into trance.  Its a really beautiful thing and trance really stops me in my tracks like nothing else! lol

well wishes ~ fairer

I think I actually know more about the way clip would answer this that I would.

In the negative, it would be the few times that I have told him that I am disappointed in him, especially if it is followed up by My saying nothing at all.  That is the worst for him.

In the positive, there are two.  Pinching his nipples will absolutely make him freeze on the spot.  There's no movement, except the times I do it particularly hard, when he will drop to his knees.  The only thing that comes out of his mouth is, "yes m'Lady".  If the positioning is right (he's a foot taller than Me, so it isn't always possible) is biting the back of his neck.  It's one of his 'sweet spots'.

The only one I could come up with for Myself was a positive one.  Every now and again, I've been known to stop and examine My life, and literally pause because I'm having one of those it's so wonderful moments.  Those great times when I realize how lucky I am for My existence, and can't help but stop what I'm doing and recognize it.
