Garden variety wishy-washy generalizations about "all parties" being corrupt isn`t a response to a question of what Obama did wrong.

I think it`s clear that Mr Obama isn`t like other politicians and has raised the discussion in a classy and dignified way.

I agree. We, as an electorate, have to wake up to, and acknowledge, the fact that , due to what amounts to legalized corruption, our "democracy" is broken. Both major parties and our politicians are corrupt and dance to the tune played by the big money campaign contributors."Everybody" does indeed mean everybody.

The only way to remedy this fact is to have legally mandated , publicly funded campaigns and elections. Yes, yes, I know the arguments for infringement of free speach regarding public financing. Imo, that is a red herring. Public funding of elections will allow more, not less, free speach. At least the big money's loud voice will not drown out the common citizens'.
