Kali, how about nothing ?

Draw a bath, set your ass in the tub and forget everything. bring all you need, cigs, other, wine or beer, whatever and just soak. Enjoy the serenity, the silence. Grab something to read, read it, go into a world, get out of it. Totally relax. There is nothing you can spend money om that can replace that.

Relaxxxxxxxxxx, take your time. Get it in your head that you don't have to do anything. and just float there. Completely let everything out of your mind, except if you are reading something. In fact when you first get in, don't read it, let eveything melt away. You are an island, you are secure, you are truly alone.

Do whatever you want.Play with yourself like a long time ago, completely relax. Think that you are the only person in the world. You will feel it, then you will be ready to read your magazine or whatever you had decided on for reading material. When the phone rings just yell "WHAT". In fact I forgot to mention that, do not take a phone in there.

Don't listen to anyone, don't even look at the caller ID. Forget it.You are unavailable. They don't know that you might have four joints, a pack of cigs, a chicken sandwich and a bit of reading material in there, all they need to know is you were in the tub.

Shut the world off for a time, not forever, but for your time. Your thoughts might be racing, but stay alone. In time your mind will clear and you will really enjoy silence. That is when your best thinking gets done, when you are free from all the bullshit.

You need this.

i would write out the entire experience as i remembered it, including the feelings i have about the event now.  i would tear the papers to shreds, find a charcol grill, soak the pieces in lighter fluid and let them burn away.  let the fears and anxiety drift away with the smoke.  you are a survivor, be proud you have come this far in your recovery and let the powers that be take the negatives away in the wind.  free yourself from the power that person had over you, then and now.  take back your life and never look back.  i'm a rape survivor too.

Writing - and Feeding It to the Fire - is actually fairly common amongst some of my friends who are wiccan and other non-christian types.  Some as a formal and actual Ritual - and others as simply something they do without ritual trappings.  Just keep a couple of things in mind if Feeding the Fire is something that sounds like it might help you.  (I can tell you from personal experience that it Can be helpful if you allow it to be, emotionally.)   Sometimes, it takes writing and burning several times  - perhaps even over the course of a few years - to completely purge yourself of something negative via this method.  Depending on how deep the wound goes, how well it has scarred over and lost it's raw edges, and what emotions you still lend energy to regarding the event.  (I know that with Rape as a specific, it can be a very long and complex road to travel before you begin to feel like "yourself" again.)

I do a ritual Burning anywhere from 2 to 4 times a year, in conjunction with specific holidays if I feel there's something to get rid of that way.  It can be a very meaningful personal ritual - and it's one that, in the long run, can be shared with a sig.other - it doesn't have to be done Alone, though some of us prefer to keep it that way.

Whatever you decide to do, kali - good luck and gods speed in your journey of recovery.
