And he got into the car willingly.

Wow....it almost sounds like you blame him too. I'd hate to be your friend.

I am sure it was a big deal for him to be hanging out with the Hulkster and his son, getting to experience the mansions, the fast boats, fast cars and hot women who surround them. It was tradgic ending that left Bollea in a coma and now jail and his friend damaged for life.

Bollea isn't in a coma, he's spending a measley 6 months in jail. His friend is the one in the coma because of his stupidity. And it's not a coma from what I understand, he's a vegetable AND a paraplegic.

But this kid isn't OJ and shouldn't be treated like OJ.

Of course he's not OJ. OJ got off. This kid got off light. Anyone else in the country who does this gets more than 6 months in jail. We have a couple of teens here who were driving like that, hit someone else and killed them....."Just an accident" and they're being tried for manslaughter I believe.

Again, very very sad for both families.

Yeah....so sad for the Bollea family who has to miss their son for a hockey season. I'd much rather be in that position than in a vegetative state and paralized permanently.

Nightly on CNN?

Sometimes.

I freaking adore Nancy Grace.
Once you start watching Nancy, you really can't stop hunk.
I think they are trying hard, to nail Hogan for buying the beer now.
It is a sad story, all the way around, and very interesting.

I have been watching this for a few weeks now, I can't cover it all.

I can't stand nancy grace. I loved how they parodied her in Boston Legal and had her character get whacked in the face by the "shovel killer." THAT was funny.

It has been nightly on Nancy Grace for almost a month now.
Re-runs on the weekend.
Gotta adore Nancy. [:D]

So have many other cases that don't involve famous people.

Nancy grace even drove one woman to suicide and never got charged for it.

Humm, I have been watching Nancy for years, and I remember the case.
Funny, they never DID find mother's toddler, the mother was accused of killing, selling,
or hiding before she committed suicide, either did they?

I don't know. I don't watch her. All I recall reading was the news article saying they had no leads and that they didn't have definitive proof the mom was involved. Yet 'grace' went after her mercilessly anyway and days later, she killed herself.

~FR~

I believe Nick was sentenced to 8 months... and at one point, Nick was crying to daddy that his cell is too small, and then "maybe we can do a reality show"...

Yeah...the hilarious part of that conversation was that they were trying to get him in general population....like the other inmates will care who his dad is when they're kicking his ass.

winterlight -> RE: Hulk Hogan ? (6/17/2008 11:30:14 PM)

thought Nick wanted out of solitary confinement. There was a phone call that was taped that i think didn't show mom and son in a good light?

Sad situation where a young man gets into a car and ends up the way he did. It could happen to any of us.

8 mos is a very light sentence compared to a vegatative state and paralyzed.

pahunkboy -> RE: Hulk Hogan ? (6/18/2008 6:15:49 AM)

Yeah- I dont care for the nancy grace format.   she might not know it but she is breaking fcc rules by norrowcasting, her personal life.

anyhow she is like a ambulance chaser.

Smith117 -> RE: Hulk Hogan ? (6/18/2008 8:43:06 AM)

Narrowcasting?

LOL...That one made me do a double-take as well.

BTW - I am now ashamed to have ever been a Hulkamaniac..[:(]

Smith117 -> RE: Hulk Hogan ? (6/18/2008 12:56:48 PM)

Don't be. You can like the character he used to portray without liking what the man has become.

Lockit -> RE: Hulk Hogan ? (6/18/2008 2:01:48 PM)

Question for you... What would you do if your under age son got two speeding tickets going over one hundred miles an hour?  Oh... did everyone know that on one of those speeding trips... Hulk was with his son and tried to explain it all away to the officer?

The whole problem I see here is in parenting.  Spoil them... make them think they are mini god's and the rules don't apply and you are going to have trouble, somewhere.  Unfortunatly... this one turned out very badly and no one could say... oh... mistake... we learned our lesson or we survived.

Then to decide that Nick must have been a bad person to bring all this on to himself and plan a show to make money off the new Nick... well... it speaks for itself and that is what all the hoopala is all about.

Irishknight -> RE: Hulk Hogan ? (6/18/2008 2:06:31 PM)

Maybe I missed part of it but who exactly is wanting to make a reality show about this?  That sounds a bit twisted.

However .... Would it be alright to do so if all the money from the show went to take care of the victim?  I would even consider watching it if that was the case.  At the least I'd turn it to that station and ignore the show for 30 to 45 minutes.

Lockit -> RE: Hulk Hogan ? (6/18/2008 2:13:35 PM)

Well, Hulk and son were taped in jail talking about it.  In the same call where son wanted the most money for the new Nick show... showing how a famous guy out of jail changes his life... there was mention of Nick... wow... he must have done something really bad to draw this in life... son says... Nick was a negative person.  People rightfully found all that offensive.

The Hulk family claim to have started a fund for Nick but to date, Nick's family has received nothing and I do believe his care is on the tax payers because I think he was in a military hospital... but not real sure on that one.  Start a fund?  Ask for donations?  WTF?  Hulk... accident or not... pay up!  You let your kid drive that fast repeatedly and didn't take the car... you may have bought the beer and even if the son wasn't legal limit... what is the legal limit for minors?  Zero...

You're a little turned around. "Nick" is Nick Hogan/Bollea who is the one in jail. John Graziano is the one who "use to be" Nick's friend and is now a vegetable in the hospital.

The kid was not convicted of drunk driving, he blew a 0.3 far below under the influence and much further below intoxication.

Whaaaat?  I'm hoping that's a typo folks.  Most states are legally over at 0.08 or 0.10.  0.3 is staggering around drunk, unless you're an alcoholic.
