Can this be the counter-protest?

The thing that I love most is when politicians spout off about how being gay is against God and that is why the laws for same sex marriage shouldnt be passed ... ummm whatever happened to seperation of Church and State?

Yea, pretty ironic. The part I love is this....if a gay couple wants to be married, they can go to any gay church in the country and get married. It won't be legal and the government will not acknowledge it, but that doesn't stop it from happening.

Know what keeps me warm at night?

The idea the since California has Gay Marriage, and Mass has Gay Marriage and New York *formally and legally* recognizes those marriages, although doesn't explicitly provide for them ( although reading the relevant NYS Law, there's no explicit exclusion... I'd expect it next legislative session... )

Anyway... My point is -- This train ain't gonna be stopped, and people better adjust to the idea.

One day real soon SCOTUS will face this:
quote:

Article IV
Section 1. Full faith and credit shall be given in each state to the public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.

and have no choice but to declare all the state bans on recognizing gay marriage unconstitutional. I'm looking forward to it.
