Them boots will be no good on icy roads I'm telling ya but for the purposes of pony play they’ll do fine.
I won't hear any nay sayers on this subject
The foot binding picture is pretty gruesome though, it's like a foot in the shape of a shoe.

Done that.. been there.... hurt like hell. Broke 4 ribs.

asshole never helped lace a lass into a corset.. had only seen Gone With The Wind.. put his foot into the small of my back, and yanked hard! they went snap! ( I make sturdy as hell corsets damn it )

I was a trooper though.. I laid down for a bit.. got my breath back.. finished getting dressed.. and went to Court, Feast, Dancing.. and then the Dr. on site.

I was about to mention corsets... but wasn't the whole victiorian corset fad mostly consensual? The foot binding thing started girls out at twelve or something, and most didn't. (Or so I've read) >.>

Status: offline 		Corsets arose far earlier than the XIXth Century. I think people thought nothing of binding tiny tots into them at a seriously young age, but this merits some research. Have you heard of XVIth Century iron corsets? We're horrified by these traditions because they're so foreign to us: I bet you the Chinese are disgusted by some of our ways as well. One people isn't better than another.

........thing is, consensual isnt really the right word. Socially required may be nearer the mark. You're free to not go along with it, but don't expect to be a part of society.
