Macular degeneration is a bitch. https://health.google.com/health/ref/Macular+degeneration

The poor Butterhead. Definitely a virus but at that age, dehydration can set in quickly. Hope she gets over it fast.

AAACCCKKK!

Mom took over my accounts and her idea of a checking account is vastly different than mine.

She writes the checks from her account and checks them off when she mails them off.

I write the checks when the bills comes in, unless I am paying by internet service.  My IP, Part D, student loan, service charge and others are done by internet while everything else is paid by debit card or check (they show up in a day or two).  I have book and movie clubs that I am in so I can get some movies and books (of crocheting of course), early Xmas stuffiest...

I try telling Mom that there are some things that shows up (bus tickets, groceries, school things, chinese food, essential female stuff) because I am trying to show I care to my daughter (she gets a check from the government as well because she is my "dependent' according to the SS law (cool trick tried to pull the rug from under my feet..) she is allowed to get some funds for the next 3 years until she is 18.

To Be Continued

okay...back...

one of my bills (Hughsnet) was cut in half because I requested to the bill to be paid around the 5th of the month, not the 17th like it has been.  It throws the entire checking system completely out of whack. I have to clarify the entire system because of doing it Mom's way.  Mine was better because I did keep up with my account by myself.  apparently Doing it my way was better for me and Mom refuses to see it that way.  I am the one who keeps receipts and write them down when I gets a few minutes by myself.

Ok..tiny temper tantrum  over with...excuse me while I try my damnest to fix the bloody account...

Good Morning, Shahar!

Good Morning, Greedy!

Good Morning, Celeste!

This morning started out chilly - almost like Fall - with a temp of 50 F.  The sun is shining and it is supposed to get to the 80's this afternoon.  Some of the leaves are turning colors.  Enough leaves have fallen that you can kick them around a little bit.

i bought some blueberries this week.  Yesterday i made Bisquick biscuits and folded blueberries into them.  i guess they were almost like blueberry scones.  This morning i had blueberry pancakes for breakfast.  (after my Fosamax had time by itself)

As for trying cooking, I tweaked the toll house cookie recipe and they turned out great.  I doubled the batch and used half Parkay margarine, and half cinnamon applesauce.  They turned out really soft and didn't spread out flat.  I also used 2 eggs, not 4.  For those of you who can get them, they taste a lot like the Archway chocolate chip drop cookies.......use plain applesauce if you're not a cinnamon fan.  I couldn't taste it, tho.

I'm thinking chili tomorrow.....or fish....I caught it myself too....right outta the freezer case!  *snort*

lol, I don't do fish in the freezer...my cat's ain't like it frozen

Some days ago (after my fuming evening) I wasn't able to give my cats fish (was run out of cat food and couldn't find that damn tin opener). So I defrosted my curd (as I know they always love to lick out the box when I leave it to them) and my frozen sausages which I brought to england some years ago...and sadly they weren't completely defrosted the next morning and it was obvious that they weren't impressed about their breakfast

However, once I came home from work it was all eaten so it can't have been that bad

Regarding trying cooking...

yesterday they had frankfurter sausages on offer which lead me to the idea to do potatoe soup again (or well...its partially more a vegetable soup, considering carrots, broccoli and cauliflower ends up in it as well). Once I got home I couldn't find my big pot (now idea where I have hidden it with my stuff being partially packed up and other stuff hidden due to people coming to view the flat at times...and now whilst writing it the penny drops as it is in the oven )

HOWEVER, so I unpacked my new slow cooker, something I never used in my life and just bought out of reviews and curiousity...but yep, indeed, it does cook very slow indeed even on high So I had no vegetable soup yesterday as by 1am it was a lil bit too late to actually enjoy it...also I had not poored out water so it was still far too much water in it after squashing the food....but well, today I will add my remaining vegetables to it and hope that it will be fine then

It is almost 4pm now so it might be ready by 10pm

I quite like that slow cooker as I know I don't have to worry about burning anything on, don't have to worry about water spilling over the pot and causing a mess, and no worry about forgetting it either Love my new toy

Muscular(?) degeneration is where it appears that your eyesight appears to be getting to be getting better but in reality  your eyes are getting worse.      It is a common part in people who are diabetic.  I had a friend who had diabetes and that he closed up shop *small bakery*  the next day, he became blind.

Hi Shahar, I think you're thinking of diabetic retinopathy, and neither retinopathy nor macular degeneration cause temporarily improved vision.  I've known people with diabetic retinopathy (one of my grandmothers was an early recipient of laser therapy) and it's a real bitch to deal with.

Morning all!

I went to the kids clothing sale today and got Butterhead a whole bunch of stuff for fall and winter.  I made sure to get several jackets in the hopes that she will quit taking mine.

Now I am not sure what to do for the rest of the day.

Great, I screwed up my ebay account

Recently I cancelled my seller account but as it said the info would still be available I activated it again....and now all my items are back on sale despite that some of them are already sold and of course it now happened that someone bought an item in a size which I already sold...aaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh

now I hope to have coincidentially this item again in that size but the chances are slim

Day five after Reclast and Mom is better but still.... NOT GOOD. Can we all say THANK GOODNESS it's only one time a year? Unreal. Is this a sign that her bones were really as crappy as the test said? Will she become magically steely boned now?

My dad is a selfish bastage. Just thought I would share that, as well.

On other fronts! I got nothing. I am living in interesting times, but it's really same old, same old!!

Hope all is well in your various locales!!

Aylee, Butterhead sounds like she is going to be just fine - but if you ever have any questions, your local juvenile diabetes expert is here for you!

Shahar - the term you are looking for is VASCULAR degeneration, causing constriction of the blood vessels and can happen any where in the body.

Things are good up here in igloo land - damn its cold for September.  The Princess work up all stuffed up and sneezy this morning, which just figures as she has an appt for dental surgery on Monday and HAS to breathe through her mouth.

I was going to post yesterday morning that I was on my way to a session at the local jungle, but you'll all so smart you probably would have figured out I was going to see my massage therapist.   I think the dungeon would have hurt less..  But at least I got my ass grabbed!!!!!

Not the jackets, but the rest.

She is currently sporting her new ladybug slippers, jeans that are NOT too short, a yellow turtleneck and new "cape jacket" I think that it was called.  She is quite pleased with herself.

I am not sure why she thinks she needs to wear the jacket.  The house is not cold.

But she enjoys getting to pick out things to wear and putting them on, so it is all good I suppose.
