ORIGINAL: soul2share As for trying cooking, I tweaked the toll house cookie recipe and they turned out great. I doubled the batch and used half Parkay margarine, and half cinnamon applesauce. They turned out really soft and didn't spread out flat. I also used 2 eggs, not 4. For those of you who can get them, they taste a lot like the Archway chocolate chip drop cookies.......use plain applesauce if you're not a cinnamon fan. I couldn't taste it, tho. I'm thinking chili tomorrow.....or fish....I caught it myself too....right outta the freezer case! *snort* lol, I don't do fish in the freezer...my cat's ain't like it frozen Some days ago (after my fuming evening) I wasn't able to give my cats fish (was run out of cat food and couldn't find that damn tin opener). So I defrosted my curd (as I know they always love to lick out the box when I leave it to them) and my frozen sausages which I brought to england some years ago...and sadly they weren't completely defrosted the next morning and it was obvious that they weren't impressed about their breakfast However, once I came home from work it was all eaten so it can't have been that bad Regarding trying cooking... yesterday they had frankfurter sausages on offer which lead me to the idea to do potatoe soup again (or well...its partially more a vegetable soup, considering carrots, broccoli and cauliflower ends up in it as well). Once I got home I couldn't find my big pot (now idea where I have hidden it with my stuff being partially packed up and other stuff hidden due to people coming to view the flat at times...and now whilst writing it the penny drops as it is in the oven ) HOWEVER, so I unpacked my new slow cooker, something I never used in my life and just bought out of reviews and curiousity...but yep, indeed, it does cook very slow indeed even on high So I had no vegetable soup yesterday as by 1am it was a lil bit too late to actually enjoy it...also I had not poored out water so it was still far too much water in it after squashing the food....but well, today I will add my remaining vegetables to it and hope that it will be fine then It is almost 4pm now so it might be ready by 10pm I quite like that slow cooker as I know I don't have to worry about burning anything on, don't have to worry about water spilling over the pot and causing a mess, and no worry about forgetting it either Love my new toy
