ORIGINAL: soul2share Phoenix, good luck with your restructuring of your eating habits.....I've cut down on a lot of sweets, and have tried to eat a little healthier...I haven't gained weight, but haven't lost any either....damn thyroid.....but as far as meals go, I like to make a big pot of soup or chili and I'll live on that for several days.....I LOVE my crockpot!!! I just wish that eating the good healthy foods wasn't so darned expensive!!!! You'd think that the raw veggies and produce wouldn't be that much since there's very little processing.....but the processed stuff is so much cheaper to buy! Go figure......also, I buy the fixings for a garden salad, cut the veggies up all at once, and put them in sealed bowls for later use....that way, when I'm wanting a salad, I don't have the work to do for it. Living alone makes it really hard to want to cook for just one....I love to cook, and cook for an Army! Thank you S2S and I totally agree with most of what you say...except that thankfully I do lose weight that way AND financially it is ok to me....2 years ago or whenever it was when I looked a bit after my pennies I bought a brocolli, potatoes a cauliflower and carrots and lived on that for about 4 days and was ok with it.... today I had a "nice" colleague again at work (according to her we met before already in a certain house and considering how much she knew about me (studies, country etc) it seems she was correct about that) who thought it is appropriate to drop the line binnen the first 2 minutes "gosh, you gained a lot of weight" . Heavens sake, does people don't have fucking manners over here to know when it is time to shaddup Now since I had my answer prepared for the last inappropriate remark from the last colleague recently (she had never met me before and said in the first 5 minutes that I should do more exercises....me thinking WTF???) I havent had my slapping answer prepared for that one...which I hated as I am not normally short of a slapping answer back It seriously gets so on my fucking nerves how often "colleagues" think they can drop such lines despite not really knowing you in the first place....fucking sake...they are colleagues....not friends, so they are supposed to shut the fuck up I really have to finish off my damn degree to get out of working with such unthinking personals Because on the plus side, in my graduate job I can keep myself to myself a lot, as we work as a team BUT do a lot on our own But on the downside we are a damn lot in charge legally and if we screw it up we can be all over the papers so no pressure at all
