Vide Cor Meum always puts me in a BDSM mood.  Other than that I’m pretty eclectic and mix my scene music up with every thing from classical stuff to house music, hip hop and modern new age Celtic music.  The Pistolero & Renegade Kombat mixes below are nice to scene to.

Renegade Master 7:55
Pistolero, Ballistic Impact 13:28 (The Stolen Mix)
Greatest Master 6:52  lyrics
Renegade Kombat 16:58 (instrumental)
Living In America 7:35 (James Brown is dead mix)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Renegade Master
is a DJ Sadist original creation made from samples of Juno Reactor, Dink, PM Dawn and DJ Wildchild's song of the same name.  Nothing about this composition resembles the original Renegade Master by Wildchild with exception of a few vocal snippets.  A special private release of this version to few select DJs in 2000 still enjoys club play to this day.
Pistolero, Ballistic Impact is my ode to the 6 fantastic versions of Pistolero by Juno Reactor which include the radio edit (03:22), juno reactor mix (06:16), fluke “hang ‘em high” remix (05:18), tarantino radio edit (03:39), headrillaz “sandinista” remix (06:49) and man with no name remix (06:27).  None of the prior mixes exceed 6:49 so I took my favorite pieces to create a 13:28
rock solid ride on a rollercoaster of rhythms and textures that have my special signature in the new guitar harmony.  This mix was inspired by my friend Riz who is a fire performance artist and Juno Reactor fan.  Until this release via this web site it was a private mix for his pleasure and mine only.  Apparently it was so well respected by other DJs, a version of it was stolen and played at raves and clubs.  A friend of Riz's recognized the unique signature of my new guitar harmony playing in a club so he took the CD from the DJ and informed the owner.  The DJ was expelled from the club for playing a stolen mix... hence the title.
Greatest Master is a BDSM anthem that proclaiming "I will be striving to be the greatest Master".  This is an amazing bastardization of children's video game song about Pokemon.  You have to compare it's new
lyrics to the original to truly appreciate the monumental work that went into this edit in order to create a BDSM theme.
Renegade Kombat is an original piece that is still in production.  This instrumental version is released by popular request and only available by download on this web site.  It is composed of hundreds of  samples from the sound tracks to all 3 Mortal Kombat movies encompassing dozens of bands.  When the vocals are complete, they will be comprise of snippets from the movies and tell the entire story of Mortal Kombat.  Inspired by the same techniques used to create my original composition of Renegade Master, it is dedicated to the great martial arts movie of the same title (see movie poster) starring Carter Wong, Chen Tien Tse, Kam Kong, James Tien and directed by: Wong Chan Hung.
Living In America is a spiced up and extended version of the same song by James Brown.  Made from samples from  of various James Brown songs and Art of Noise, the new horn arrangements are hitting hard and the breakdown is laced with Brown's vocals from Sex Machine, I Feel Goodand other songs as well as Art Of Noise's vocals proclaiming "James Brown is dead".  At
7:35 compared to the original 4:41 it's a feast for those that can never get enough of the hardest working man in show business.
One of our local subs has sugessted making a 'white noise' album of nothing but flogging.
And then use it to go to sleep to or use as noise in a scene.
Oh, now that's good!
Perhaps a recording from a dungeon. All the various "scene" sounds. Played through headphones placed on a sub. I can't imagine that hasn't been done yet. It is interesting though.
Was most surprised at the number of people that do not use any music in a scene. i can understand the distraction element though. It depends on the scene as to what is appropriate for us. We listen to anything from thunderstorm/rain, tribal drums/flutes, etc to Pantera, Tool, Teen Pain, NIN, Manson, etc. Lack of vocals is vey understandable  from the distraction  point  of view. i  have started to burn different dungeon mixes for different moods/atmosphere. Creating a begining, middle, and end. Being a sub however, i often loose track of what is playing. Along with the time and everthing else. . .
IF I use music, I do that very deliberately, and I like the whole range from rock to classical/meditational music.
Here's one favorite of mine, Eagles of Death Metal, 'Speaking In Tongues'. - Or, as a contrast, Devendra Banhart's 'Inaniel' - a truly beautiful song, smooth as silk...
As for classical, a lot of different things can work well, depending on mood - Beethoven (e.g. a Piano Concerto) will always do the trick - he has a lot of passion - and anything purely instrumental is always a safe choice. I think it's good to decide whether you want music that contrasts the scene or moves with it. Of course, I'll totally forget about the music after a while...
