Peopel are just people. We complain sometimes, depending on our moods.
We sadly tend to remeber bad things eassier then good things. So it always looks like people just complain, but I am sure they have their good moments too. THey just didn't write them down.

CalifChick -> RE: Ever wonder about all the complaining?? (5/10/2008 9:19:46 AM)

I also skip straight past the whiners, along with the ones whose profile starts with, "I am attractive...".

Now, listing all my girl scout badges I have from my childhood, that is a tactic I hadn't tried before.  There's no jam badge, but there is a cooking badge. My sash is in a box somewhere in the garage, and by the time I was done, I had almost every single badge available at the time. Hmmmm.

Yeah luscious that's right up there with "natural" dominant looking for a "natural" subbie or slave. What as opposed to the unnatural variety?

Phoenix

Every time I see "Natural Dominant." I believe they arent really into D's and just want an easy piece of ass and think Submissive means just that.

I roll my eyes when I see,"I am real you be too. Or I'm looking for a true submissive" What the hell is a true submissive. Should
I have a true submissive merit Badge?

Yes,

When you get yours I will let you be mine. Other good Merit Badges are the Enlightment Bage you get that one when you achieve True Enlightenment and I want someone to finally have the "Knows how to make HOMEMADE Jams" Merit Badge.

In Fact those three are how I determine a Twue Submissive so get with the Program.

Steel

I know how to Make jam and Homemade pizza, now gimme my badge!

stella41b -> RE: Ever wonder about all the complaining?? (5/10/2008 2:46:00 PM)

Sometimes it's healthy to complain, have a good moan and whinge, but some people seem to make a career out of it.

You see them in the profiles, and some of them seem so anally retentive you wouldn't stand a chance of getting your butt plug back.

playfulotter -> RE: Ever wonder about all the complaining?? (5/10/2008 2:55:04 PM)

Be be honest, i used to say to men who emailed me certain things like "they were not real" etc because of their complaining profiles.......but then after reading many threads here on the message boards i understood how my thinking was wrong or i was not educated about certain things...but now that i am edumacated...i now just say to them....that at this time i am not looking for another Master and if i were seeking at this time i don't think we are looking for the same type of relationship. It is better not to complain back to someone i have found..it makes you just as bad as them.

I read a profile and the first thing someone says is to complain. There are too may fakes. There are too many wanabees.  there are too many liars.  There are too many who dont have a recent pic.  Etcetera, etcetera, as Yul Brynner said in the King and I.  My question:  is all this griping going to attract your One?  Do you think that you (we) project our inner light with all this complaining?  this is the internet; fakery abounds.  yes, we may need to talk about these experiences sometime. But, to put that up front, as the first thing another reads - well, that is not going to achieve the desired results.  Think about it.  We have all had bad experiences.

I confess that whenever I get an email from someone and there is complaining in their profile, I trashcan it and move on.  So I pretty much agree with the OP on this; people suck.  Most intelligent people have known this for a long time, and don't need to be reminded of it, but if you complain incessantly about that in your profile, it just makes you look foolish.

If your best use of the limited space in a profile is to complain, what does that say about you?

khem -> RE: Ever wonder about all the complaining?? (5/10/2008 4:06:41 PM)

hmmm a complaint about complaints?

I dont know about enlightenment... but i do make a kick-ass batch of strawberry jam every summer... there's a berry field nearby and I pick the berries myself and everything... :)

Lmfao... best quote ever...

A little more on topic, but my journal area is where I rant about bdsm things... a lot.  Apparently, it's much easier for me to get my thoughts down when I am ticked off about something. I have a few happy entries in there, like the one where I try to tell you how I made a corset pattern, but other than that, it's mostly messed up experiences I've  had. Should I have them there if I was trying to attract a partner? Probably not, I wouldn't want to come off as a bitch. I'm not really looking though, so I use my profile just to say whatever pops into my head really.

Besides, I have no  chance at being a twue sub. I can only make EzMac.

Dont worry. All that is required of you is to at all times be down on your knees and mouth and throat open wide![8D]

Fine, as long as you'll  feed me Ezmac!

Actually, I'm kind of sick of that crap. It tastes all chemically.

LOL ... I have that one.   Also have the "knows how to make HOMEMADE pickles" Merit Badge along with the "Always makes HOMEMADE biscuits never canned".

But I can't seem to find my "true submissive" or "true enlightened" badges.   Damn, maybe I never had them in the first place.   [:)]

Yeah, but it's not in my profile; there's a time and a place for airing grievances with others, but I think it's not in the only snapshot of you someone who wanted to look you up will see.

I'd much rather state my views on what annoys me every so often in a thread than waste my profile for it.  Again, it's a question of approach and audience.

I mean, if you weren't interested in the whole thing, why are you in this thread, Khem?

I can't say the same thing about my profile, however.  I have a different audience target there.
