Competition is only good if everyone has to do it.
I'd like to see the Oil Companies "competing" against each other.
Lawyers are learning that competition isn't such a good deal these days.
Law degrees are a dime a ton now.
My lawyer in N.H. told me in 2002; "every divorced woman who sold real estate went to law school at night and became lawyers."
"There's so many lawyers out there now that it's getting tough to make a decent living!"
Ah! The "law" of supply and demand!
And, we're not really "competing" in this "Global Economy" like the govt tells us we are or "should" when we're giving foreign aid to more than 130 countries.
You don't "help" your competition!
At this point our tax dollars are helping them buy junk from China.
You can be so competitive and efficient that it takes away the quality of your life.
Forty hours aren't enough, then fifty hours aren't enough, then sixty hours a week aren't enough.
Ross Perot nailed it; "it's a race to the bottom!"
It's a big circle, when you take out the part of the circle that works for a living and they can't afford to live then the circle will collapse and we'll have another depression. The circle won't "roll" anymore like a broken hoola hoop.
All so that "the consumer" could "buy" cheap junk from foreign countries making about 20,000 people insanely rich.
