Liberty in the West has been eroded, challenged and compromised through a gradual process over the past 20-30 years.
The UK and the US governments have been successfully building totalitarian regimes over many years which are just as oppressive as those found in Eastern Europe during the time of the Cold War.
There is enough legislation already in place to remove any one of your civil liberties as a result of one phone call.
There has been a concerted effort for many years to stop people having and using cash and to use direct debits, standing orders, credit cards, etc.
Both Governments already have centralized data banks. The new databanks and so on are just the authorities letting you know that they have you on file.
One click of a mouse on any one of these computer systems and you're gone - and I mean GONE.
You see the problem is here in the West we have always had liberty. We take it for granted. People either know and aren't bothered, they're bothered and they don't know what to do, they don't care, they don't believe, or they simply pretend it isn't true.
It's almost as if people need to lose their liberty to understand really what liberty is. I can see this time getting closer and closer, and I sincerely hope that we will succeed in getting back what it seems we are about to lose.
