Here's the thing. We've been together as a kinky couple (F/m) for something like a dozen years now. I'm creative, but, seriously, a girl needs some inspiration sometimes! Here's a fairly complete (hopefully NOT too long) summary of our repetoire and toys, as a starting point.

Things we like (in no particular order):

Status: offline 		I'm not very into that kind of romance. We WILL be going out to dinner and enjoying each other's company as well (a change of scenery isn't really feasible), but it's the first time in a long, long time that we can really let loose with the kink. :)

Status: offline 		Hrm. Not exactly sure how to put it, really. I'm a direct person, and quite sexual. I've kind of hit high points of traditional romance that I can't really manage to top anymore. (Fantastic, complicated, highly personalized gifts and cards and so on.)
Romantic, to me, is when he's vulnerable, in pretty much any way. I can't think of anything else that gives me that melty romantic feeling...most traditional romance feels like we've done it to death/trite/etc.
We're best friends who have been together for a long time; we talk constantly, spend basically all of our time together (we're generally only apart when he's at work), and we maintain that pretty well even with the toddler running around.

(OMG how horrible would that be!) But we live in a one level and he's just down the hall, so we have to be quiet and we don't generally leave the bedroom, so a lot of toys don't commonly get used lest they be too loud and we're kind of limited in general. This is our chance to really let loose...and I'm pregnant and come August we'll have a new baby and ack. :P

I guess what made it so much fun for us, is that I made a mistake of all mistakes the first time. I forgot to give him air holes lmao. Not real funny when written, but at the time, it was hysterical. Get some white, unscented wax (emergency candels work quite well for this; they don't burn too hot), tie him to a table (after spreading a sheet or shower-curtain underneath the table...and tell him you are going to encase him in hot wax...little by little.  I'd have his eyes covered; tell him it's for his own protection (but don't drip the stuff on his face).
 
Then...drip away.  Try it on the inside of your forearm and experiment with the temperature when dripping from different heights.  Then...knowing how hot it will be from whichever height... drip it on him.
 
I'd bite his nipples a few times first...pinch his breasts and pull on 'em a bit; to perk up the skin.  Then...drip the wax at the lowest you safely can...right onto his nipple.  You might be 'preparing' his other one for the same treatment, as you drip.
 
Perhaps have some music playing (I like soundtracks from various Vampire movies...or some of the ButtBoy music)...so he can zone out while you play.  I'd lean over him a lot, brushing your own breasts on his body ...'accidently'.  Always keep one hand on him...that helps keep a person relaxed.  But, sometimes let the wax puddle a bit on the candle if you can...and then pour it all at once; perhaps in a line right down to his belly button.

When you are finished, take the sheets outside and shake 'em before you put them in the wash.  If it's particularly warm out, you might want to wad 'em up and put them in the freezer for a bit; then the shaking will dislodge the wax and not clog up your washer.

I would suggest you use shaved ice. It melts quickly, yet he will believe it last forever.

Status: offline 		I fear we're both not patient enough for that, although the way you describe it does make it tempting! I'd have to use a butter-knife, too, I'd worry too much using a sharp one.
I think I'll definitely save this for the future, though. I do sometimes feel like we didn't give wax enough of a chance. :)
