Sadly, the same has happened in many places in the U.S. I've been through it too. But there are things y'all can do to help each other and to rebuild your economy and community. See if there is an interest in having a meeting to discuss ideas and options. I dunno if produce and protein are raised in your area. Must be at least some. Try to buy as much as you can that is locally produced. The $ stays in the community. Try to build a network to trade goods and services. This also keeps Uncle Sam out of your pockets. Finally, there are many communities that have gone through this. I've read (online) some very creative approaches that have been successful. Do some reasearch online and go to the community meeting with some ideas to kick around. It can be an exciting adventure. Good luck to y'all.
