ORIGINAL: UtopianRanger The Olympics.... Hell, I'd revoke their ''most-favored-nation'' status and bring the toothpick factories back home to America. - R As if thats gonna happen. Then they would stop buying the bonds and notes that George uses to pay for his war. Nope, George wouldn't do anything to upset that cart. K Well....with an ''inter-bank'' lending rate at 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 percent, there's no reason for foreigners to invest in our bond market. But if you're talking about accepting our currency for the purchase of manufactured goods...I get your drift. But keep in mind, whether we revoke that status or not, the Chinese are slowly divesting their greenback holdings. And that’s not going to stop. I'm sure you're well aware of that old adage that says '' If you owe the bank sixty-thousand dollars - you're in trouble. But if you owe the bank sixty-billion dollars - They're in trouble.'' That holds true, brother. - R "brother", how about you find a little reality. Those massive treasury notes and loans that fund the deficit Georgie has run up aren't being bought by banks. Everybody quit buying them save for the Saudis and the Chinese, with china buying the bulk. George doesn't play deaf, dumb, and blind whenever anything comes up about China just because he likes egg rolls. The reality is they have given him billions to keep his spending rolling. K
