Trust me, I understand and sympathize.

I've been ill for over a month, again, with bronchitis and it does not seem to be clearing up, but hey,  from Nov. to Jan I had it too. This makes me depressed as it affects my ability to get out and enjoy life, which leads to me having issues with my college coursework. Still, I push on and I do my best.

You have the means, seek counseling.

Lack of sunlight isn't helping. The calender says it's spring, but it doesn't feel like spring. I need the sun and warmth to jump start things. Although a tanning bed can help with this, my skin doesn't need the UV damage.

Tanning beds save my butt on a regular basis. Since i am fair i cannot handle the UV's at all. Hence i am probably the only person who applies sunscreen before going in.

well, im fair complected as well, but not too concerned about tanning..yea it looks good, but not gonna ruin my skin for it...I am who i am, accept me or not.....im just me...[:D]

depression in winter could be S.A.D. 'winter blues' - you can get information and ways to help this. a 'Light box' may help.

True depression never goes away.  You have to learn how to manage it, and take proper medication.  Trust me on this one.

i took a quick perv at your profile. Stress can cause depression and one of leading causes of stress can be a change in your lifestyle.
You state you recently finished grad school. That is a major change in anyones life. Perhaps you need to give yourself a bit of time to adjust?
