MzBehavin, I don't think it's necessarily about 'you' as such. It could be absolutely anything that sets a person off. As was the case for me when I went into a book shop with a male friend and a guy focused on me b/c of my long curly auburn hair which is quite distinctive. Such behaviours are more to do with their fantasies and something about the person they interact with that perhaps triggers a memory, I really don't know.

As for my cyberstalker, what stimulated him was my having touched a raw nerve in him as I noticed that he just ignored the usual 'go play somewhere else' comments and various insults from people.

So i'm trying to figure out what it is about me in paticular makes this so attractive to the guy. It cant be good. That said, no, im not stupid, yes i am learning, and yes intuition is huge for me. Especially now.
Somone mailed me offboards and said there are a number of repeat offenders on CM. Not that we didnt already know that, but they are being ferreted out, and always always give themselves away in the end.
Good luck everyone. pahunkboy, i hope you hear from your friend! Thank you everyone for responding. xoxo

oh, i have one of those...he always starts out with a really long, "erotic" story that he supposedly wrote and asks me if i want to know more, then there is a pic of him at the bottom.  when i say no thanks he calls me a stupid bitch and adds a few insults and blocks me, then a few weeks later here he comes again under a new handle.  when i point out to him that he uses the same story and pic every time and that is how i know it is him, he tells me i'm an idiot because people are stealing pics and stories all the time on CM.....at least it's good for a laugh every few weeks.

Hi Christine, I have been very lucky with regards to that kind of thing via CM. Occasionally that happens, but the moment one of those emails hits me I instantly block/delete. I wonder if such people realise just how pathetic they are being... and it makes a person wonder (never more than a second or two lol) just what the rest of their lives can be like.

Some people can be extremely obsessive and from past experience I learned that it can be downright dangerous especially trying to free yourself of them as the case with my ex husband

I had met on online here like that , it start off okay and  he seemed okay initially I had given him my phone number, then one day he had phoned I was not home, and started going nutty  as in where was I, what was I doing ? was seeing someone else? after would be phoning at around 2 in the morning to check up on me, noted he was obsessed with one partcular photo of mine.  I finally sent him an email telling him it was over.....I get a call telling me I can end the relationship as it is suppose to be a joint decision,  I hung up on him , unplugged the phone for several days  and blocked him on my computer, and then did an internet search on my internet user names to see if any personal detail was online that could lead to him finding out where I live  as a precaution.

My computer died a few months later and I had to switch to another I have here,  only problem on this one I had deleted but not blocked him on my IM so he was able to contact me again  and then he said he would be coming here to my area during a period he knew I would be on vacation and that he wanted to meet me, I told him I was seeing someone else and had not intentions of meeting him for one he was still angry and I have no intention of taking a risk of meeting someone for the first time iand possibly putting myself in harms way  with a  person knowing they are pissed off with me. then blocked him.  A few  months  have passed again I am now on that vacation time,  surprise ...surprise  .. I get a request to add him onto my messenger  [sm=hair.gif]   over 1/2 a year has went by since  i ended
I am so glad I did not give out  any personal info that could have allowed him to show up at my door step and that I did do an internet search as soon as I had serious concerns about him  --had a business that extended online so had put up contact info which I quickly altered, also glad I do take my time getting to know a person  online first  to get a feel for them before agreeing to meet in person.  His strong obsession over my photo and constant bringing it up in conversation with him repeatedly revealing  his fantasties about what he would do to me whenever he looks at it, once an obsessive starts talking about it becomes very hard to steer the conversation away from,  and tends to repeat  in each conversation, over and over.    Having my photos online may attract more of the obsessive personalities to me but it also adds the benefit of becoming a screening tool to help weed them out by how much fantasty interest they take in the photo. and there is a huge difference between admiring a photo and being obsessed with, as a result I am not about to remove my photos to try and avoid having some attracted to me, as I would much rather find out a person is an obsessive personality online  than  after meeting and learning where I live

The red side of me rarely acknowledges the blond side of me. The red side works in the legal profession is quite sadistic and loves making grown men cry. The blond side of me is rather submissive and just makes men cry with nothing but my natural beauty to do it with [;)]

One positive aspect is that Miss Morrigan sends all her potential cyber stalkers to Christine.
