You have to wonder what they thought was actually going to happen?

Fuck'em. They got exactly what they deserved. It's too bad for the citizens of Fla...What a fucked up state.

The Dems just kissed 27 electoral votes good-bye.....

Have you seen the polls? McCain would beat Obama by more than 10 pts in Florida.

The GOP says they will seat all of Florida's delegates at their convention.

Florida seems fairly solidly Republican, I don't know that Obama or Hillary would win there no matter what.

Rev. Wright
Antoin Rezko
Geraldine Ferraro's big flapping jaw

The Republicans have to be encouraged by these developments.

And they are not solving any of their issues... They are letting them pile up...

And polls are showing that Obama has begun to lose independents and white males. That's not a good sign. McCain is even within striking distance in New Jersey. The Democrats cant afford to lose that state. Obama's campaign better do something quick to stop the bleeding. This Rev Wright issue is starting to blow up his campaign.

I think the Dem Paty is about to blow apart. There is no unity and a lot of people upset over the disenfranchisement of Florida and Michigan, even if they did allow their delegates at the convention, the damage is done.

Rev Wright was just the fuse. Then there's Rezko. His opposition to seating delegates from Florida and Michigan. The more this drags on the more Obama shows his feet of clay.

By the time of the convention this will be worked out most likely, although it does make interesting forum fodder for politicos of all stripes. After watching Jay Leno's "Jay Walker" routine, I am dubious that the vast majority of voters will not even be tuning in until the nomination process is over...

You don't think a voter backlash against the Democratic Party is likely? Even more on point, you don't think the Republicans wouldn't make considerable political hay with Obama's reluctance to articulate a mechanism by which the Florida delegation could be legitimately seated?

In the general election, it really isn't going to matter if the Florida legislature violated the Democratic Party rules. What voters are likely to remember is that Obama didn't want their votes to count. That's not the sort of "change" I'd want.
