Is that why so many men have commitment issues? Is that we all think that IF we stay single that we will find a Hot Model with a never ending Sex drive? or that as long as we are not tied down then we have the chance to bang every woman that comes down the road?

This may sound stupid, but I imagine that its more work being Hugh Hefner or Mystery for the new generation. Than actually being the person inside the persona.

No, some want to be Mae West. [8D]

Me, I'm a one-woman man. Hopefully for the rest of my life.

Bless your heart Hippy.. Gods I love her.

I just think Hef has been smart. With all that money and all of the Putang he has at his disposal... why the fuck marry any of them?

Have a primary... and a couple of others on the side... flirt with the rest...

Smart man. If I had the bank roll and biz he has damn skippy I would be livin like Hef.

Should the average guy do it? neah.... but with that going for him.. yeah.

*chuckles*

Gwyn,
When I'm good.. I'm really good.. when I'm bad I'm even better!

Me be Hugh Hefner? I think I'll pass. I'd rather be wanted for my body and not my money. I find his reality show to be a tad corny.

I'm not jealous nor resent Hefs personal choice in women. It's his life and I hope he's happy. What he has is just not for me.

bipolarber -> RE: Does Every Guy want to be Hugh Hefner? (3/15/2008 10:06:04 PM)

It's a great fantasy, I admit. It's right up there with winning Powerball or something like that. But, does the "Playboy" philosophy hald any sway over guys these days? The philosophy seems almost quaint, in a sexist way.

No, this guy doesn not want to be Hef. I enjoy being with my wife, and playing around with the few select friends that I have. My life is rich, although my pockets are not. No reason to be greedy. :)

It's genetic and it has name,  THE COOLIDGE EFFECT, so we can't help it.

quote:

The term comes from an old joke according to which President Calvin Coolidge and his wife allegedly visited a poultry farm one day. During the tour, Mrs. Coolidge inquired of the farmer how his farm managed to produce so many fertile eggs with such a small number of roosters. The farmer proudly explained that his roosters performed their duty dozens of times each day.

"Perhaps you could point that out to Mr. Coolidge," replied the First Lady in a pointedly loud voice.

The President, overhearing the remark, asked the farmer, "Does each rooster service the same hen each time?"

"No," replied the farmer, "there are many hens for each rooster."

"Perhaps you could point that out to Mrs. Coolidge," replied the President.

I have never held any such Grand Illusions for myself either. But being bisexual, It's been my dream to be in a loving 3way, with one of each sex and having everyone happy, satisified with the arrangement, content with the sex, and secure in their position in the family.
Hmmm....I guess if you take away the money, the fame, the blonde bimbo's(not my taste),
and I guess you could argue...hmmm.....
Nevermind..

having female eye candy around would not be enough for me.

the person has to have ability to carry a converstaion.   so the ladies he has may or may not be this way.

he does seem to live in a rather never never land.

ild rather be a scientist that made a spactacular discovery.

Would those gals be with him if he was Joe Blow? They see past the 80 year old man because he is a legend, not because he is so hot.

pahunkboy -> RE: Does Every Guy want to be Hugh Hefner? (3/16/2008 5:47:03 AM)

no.

a while back a bro of mine went thru a depression. i told him life is not a pool party.  like in the mountain dew commercial.   that life can have period of  it but not be exclusively pool parties.

HH is mostly for show.

I'd take his digs.......I wish I'd have been the one that had came up with his idea. But he runs to loose a ship for my taste. He needs more collars and chains around that place. More whips readily available and more alcoves.

So I'll just be me with the mansion and the operation. That would be bad news for Kendra, I'd have her tied, gagged, bound, beat and thrown to the yard staff. She'd learn her place or feel my size 11's up against her ass. Natalie says Hef get's a charge out of her, I say she's a fuckin' brat.

I would like one or two thousand of the luxuries that he has created for himself, but I like being me just fine. And its not because I'm a one woman man or some silly shit like that.I see no problem with having as many little wenches around as you can put up with or afford. After 23 years I'm still plum nuts about Natalie, but she'd like to have all the pretty little helpers around too.

This has been a Gorean moment with your friend,

Bull

I just asked the guy sitting here watching television in the same room with me. He said, "No, cuz Hef has lousy taste in women".

lighthearted -> RE: Does Every Guy want to be Hugh Hefner? (3/16/2008 7:41:03 AM)

None of them do anything for me either. Just  too plastic and over done.

MissMorrigan -> RE: Does Every Guy want to be Hugh Hefner? (3/16/2008 8:06:45 AM)

Fantasies are often best left as that. Whenever I see Heff I'm reminded of a rapidly aging man desperately clinging to youth, almost incestuously so given that some of those girls bear a striking resemblance to him. I saw an interview with him/one of his girls and she sat there simpering away, when the interviewer asked her a question she giggled, giggled some more, began to answer it, followed by more giggling and then announced, "What did you ask me?" and more giggles. Kind of speak volumes. I would imagine a guy would prefer a 'realdoll', b/c while expensive, they'd be less expensive in the long-run and likely have greater longevity.
