Hi hi....

I wanted to let you all know what happened to my sweet baby boy.  He has a herniated disc.  He has some pain, but the doc gave him a muscle relaxant and pain meds.  He is sleeping peacefully.  I love him so much.  The sad news - no more runs with me, no playing tug of war on the floor, no stairs, none of the things that bonded him and me.  He can still sleep with me, but he can't jump off the bed (he really doesn't anyway).  I asked the vet if he is hurt because of all the stuff I've been doing with him, and she said no it is his age and the breed he is (shih tzu).  She said that all the fun stuff has probably made him really happy.  YAY! 

I trust the vet - I used to work with her.  She's great.  I'm glad my sweet baby boy will be ok in a month or so.  I was afraid he was dying - having mini strokes or something.  I love that lil doggie.  He's very nuanced.  You can't see how great he is unless you're really sensitive.  He doesn't jump around and play and stuff.  But if you sit and pet him, he will sit quietly and just be... he's very peaceful.

Anyway, Hooray for vets!
