I have two older nieces in their 20's who have theirs pierced. They never said much about losing sensitivity. I wanted to get mine pierced, but DB won't allow it.
This was the first time I did the needles on myself. I didn't know if I was going to be able to do it or not. DB says that anything that I may do to another, I need to feel myself. (it's the way He was taught as well) He used one or two needles on me once and I wasn't ready to watch Him do it and it creeped me out. This time, it was me, all alone in my room, with the needle play kit, and DB's info from the other day as to where to place the needles if I wanted to try it out. So, I did it. A word to those who are trying this... push the needle through the nipple on the exhale. I don't know why, but it doesn't really hurt that way.
