ORIGINAL: ThinkingKitten FR: The only time my alarm cat gets fooled is on the DST changes (like last weekend). Otherwise she starts off with a soft "prrrp", and gradually gets louder and louder. She'll walk on me, jump back and forth over the top of me, and will ultimately extend a paw with the claws extended just oh-so-slightly and graze my cheek. That usually does the trick...LOL. See, this is why i always laugh at people who allow their cats into the bedroom. It took more than a few sleepless nights, and quite a few extrications of kitteh from the Forbidden Bedroom of Mystery, but we sleep alone. However, i've noticed that one of our cats, who is a reasonable eleven pounds, feels like a 30-pound cat stomping across my chest when the food dish is empty. i refer to it as his "protest march" god, I can't imagine NOT having the girls snuggled up with me in bed... Amos is 15lbs. Gracious is 14 lbs. This morning, Gracious let Amos do the honors of waking me... by tapping my nose, and marching on me... right after she'd been in the litter box. bitch.
