Topping is when the submissive dictates the action in a scene.

Poise's definition is more applicable to topping from the bottom.
Topping itself is being the giver in sensation play. The person who spanks as opposed to the person being spanked (the bottom).

But yes, this is a two year old post and likely to be locked because of its age.
