I like the hypocrisy of the computer printed picket sign.

No no, they spent HOURS making that sign look perfect the OLD FASHIONED way without a computer AND they got all those people together using snail mail. It took years to arrange.

Alan Turing was a homosexual who broke the German Uboat Enigma codes through the use of algorithm machines.  (The first computers).  He was gay.  The protestor is saying essentially that by condeming homosexuality we are condeming a man who made a significant impact on the state of our world today.

1. The breaking of the German Uboat codes significantly effected the outcome of WWII (and it goes without saying why that is important)
2. The technology he created to break the encryption was a cornerstone in the technology we use today in our everyday lives.

The message?  Well..I think considering the above will speak for itself....

and ...that is fucking clever!!!!!  I am impressed. One of the best protest signs I have ever seen!

Is that a rainbow flag she is holding in the other hand?

That seems to lend credence to suna's thesis.

Is this sign from the "Anonymous " protests against The Church of Scientology? That would make more sense to me.

Why just the Computer? There's no way I think I could boycott every invention by a homosexual and live. It can't be done.

Yes, the rainbow flag makes it clear that this person is being sarcastic. Either that or it’s one of the members of the Westboro Baptist Church with Alzheimer’s disease.

Turing's death was pretty sad.   Homosexuality was illegal in Brittain at the time and the police discovered he was having a homosexual relationship.   He was stripped of his security clearance and, as part of his plea arrangement for his crime, he was required to take estrogen therapy to treat his mental illness known as homosexuality.

He committed suicide a year or so after starting on the therapy.

Turing is a personal hero of mine. The whole bitch tits part of his life is just too tragic for words. It's one of the reasons I oppose the "normals" with all of their hypocrisy and bullshit fake religious moralizing. Rather than being lionized as would have been merely just, he was tortured and hidden away from the public eye.

I co-sign alwaysuna's take on this. I tried to say it in one word, and that might have been too short of an explanation.
