ORIGINAL: LadyEllen I feed my cats Whiskas brand "Oh So Fishy". They love it - and its the only cat food I've come across that actually smells like and looks like what its meant to be. I may be getting fooled of course, and its likely made from the bits judged unfit for human consumption, but sometimes I quite fancy trying it - not something I could say about any other sort of cat food, even Whiskas other offerings. I used to work in temperature controlled transport - you really dont want to know the stories I can tell about what goes into leading brand sausages, pies and burgers. Lets just say that meat rejected from the pet food factory hasnt necessarily reached the end of its saleable life, and one set of veterinary papers can be exchanged for another very quickly when needed. E LE , GO FOR IT !!! I have eaten ' Whiskas ' before, it is quite paletable, as long as you keep the thought that you are eating cat food out of your head. I used to be in an organisation, doing an outward bound exercise in the sunny Lake District, an exercise where we were all told to bring an unmarked can of food to prove a point. That point was that if you are hungry enough, you will eat anything, we swapped cans and ate the contents cold, I got Whiskas, my colleague got the cheapest scabbiest tin of dog food I could find in our local supermarket, I knew what was coming. Incidently, he thought it was stewing steak.
