Those who will miss you, will miss you. Those who wont will not.

Please, please, please - stop asking for validation here; youre worthwhile without it and if only you would realise it.

Best of luck with the case!

thanks to Greayhound and their "wonderful" service, i was not able to get on the bus due to overcrowding. so, it seems i will not be able to get there afterall. i will NEVER book with Greyhound again...i'd just sooner hitchhike. would make it there on time.

Was there not another bus later today? It would seem if they filled up that much they had enough for 2 routes.....it's a shame.

Sorry it didn't work out for you Michael, but is it really Greyhound's fault?

As you've discovered, Greyhound (and all other major bus lines) don't guarantee seating when you buy a ticket unless you pay extra for Priority Seating, and that's only offered at certain ticketing locations.  I believe the term  Greyhound uses to describe their system is "space available," which is basically first come-first served.  To have the highest possibility of getting a seat, you need to be there and waiting for a fair bit before the bus is scheduled to depart.  Even better, be early for the first bus of the day just in case you get bumped to the later bus and they you'll have a greater chance at getting to your destination in time.  For something this important, planning to get there a day early, just incase, might have been a good idea too.

I hope you've got an advocate in OKC that can help with getting the hearing rescheduled.

Are there a lot of options for bus travel?

the next bus was several hours later and would have made me late for court

yes, it's Greyhound's fault for overbooking and poor service. i will NEVER book with them again.

still waiting to hear from attorney to see what to do next. i'll hittchike next time...can make it there better than with Greyhound.

That's pretty far to hitchhike.  Perhaps you can pay someone to drive you there?  Or book a flight, that would be the quickest way, but there is danger of overbooking there too.
