ORIGINAL: michaelOfGeorgia thanks to Greayhound and their "wonderful" service, i was not able to get on the bus due to overcrowding. Sorry it didn't work out for you Michael, but is it really Greyhound's fault? As you've discovered, Greyhound (and all other major bus lines) don't guarantee seating when you buy a ticket unless you pay extra for Priority Seating, and that's only offered at certain ticketing locations. I believe the term Greyhound uses to describe their system is "space available," which is basically first come-first served. To have the highest possibility of getting a seat, you need to be there and waiting for a fair bit before the bus is scheduled to depart. Even better, be early for the first bus of the day just in case you get bumped to the later bus and they you'll have a greater chance at getting to your destination in time. For something this important, planning to get there a day early, just incase, might have been a good idea too. I hope you've got an advocate in OKC that can help with getting the hearing rescheduled. ~stef
