I have a male submissive friend which I do hang out with from time to time.  I also have a very close male dominant friend whom I hang out with all the time.

But frankly, their sexual preferences have nothing to do with my friendship with them.  I just like them, is all.

Chaze said....snip....."The submissives males I know are much like dommes, emotionally bankrupt, out of control mentally and physically most of the time and by in large not driven by any honorable codes of conduct. However I know very few male submissives. "

Im very sorry this has been your experience, I take it you havent met many dommes either. The dommes I know, personally, from this board and offline, (pro's included) have been far from emotionally bankrupt, or out of control, in any way. Im certainly not saying that all are perfect human specimens, but who is?. I have problems with arrogant pompous jackasses of all stripes. Whining people too. Not relegated to male/female/dominant/submissive/switches.
Male subs do have a harder time of things, but the ones I have come into close contact with are great people for me.\
YMMV
Lucy
PS oh, all dominants, not dommes? well take no notice then:)

Chaze, you seem so far out of it, that I can't help wondering if you are either mentally handicapped or drugged.

Regardless, the one thing you are not pulling off is seeming to have any knowledge of BDSM, or of people for that matter.  You might want to try getting *real*.  The real you cannot be as unlikable as the persona you are putting out.

Male Dominants--what are your perceptions of male submissives?

Would you  or do you socialize in the vanilla world in a circle that contains the other "type" ( like golfing, bowling, neighborhood get togethers)? How does that impact your interactions?  (I am not interested in BDSM outtings).

People are people. I like people that are bright, funny, trustworthy, and good-hearted, and do not care what their sexual/kink proclivities are.

You are a piece of work.  I hereby nominate you for the clueless newbie award of the week.

i suspect neither clueless nor a newbie, but actually an occasional Mistress forum troll with a new name... the writing style and content are familiar.

Yes, but I think you are asshole b/c you are a maledom, notwithstanding your other social qualities.

Just to delve into stereo types a bit: folks may not like malesubs who seem like suck-ups and weiners, and folks may not like Doms who are overly full of themselves, overconfident, and otherwise obnoxious. I think the type of unlikeable person behind each role varies.

One stereotype about malesubs is that we are inherently and naturally "service oriented." Why must it be presumed we like (or to get more preposterous, derive sexual kink from) activities like mopping the floor, vacuuming, and running errands. Everyone else out there in the world pretty much doesn't like this stuff, but somehow we're suppose to do love it. If maledoms did think we actually loved this stuff, I couldn't blame them too much for seeing us as a bit weird, foolish, and nerdy.

But, back to me, I pretty much consider myself a freak --- and as such I let out a lot of slack in the line before I would ever judge another's orientation.

And here's another thought. I think its quite possible that aside from sexual orientation, there may not be much difference betweens DOMs and SUBs. (A food for thought idea.)

I like subs, male or female, because they defer to me.  I am het, but I still enjoy the power dynamic of being aorund a male sub, and, I am an equal opportunity sadist, I'll hurt a male sub and enjoy it if he wants it, I just wont fuck him.

Come on, you'd mop caitlyn's floor, and like it.

As a broad category, I think male submissives are the only group full of more idiots than male dominants.

That said, I think it takes a lot of guts to be a male submissive and the ones that I know and respect are better men than many dominants that I know.

I can't argue with that. Nicely said

In a time....long...long....ago....3 days and 16 hours to be exact....

when I first found BDSM and had no knowledge of the Internet until 2 days and 12 hours ago....

...and I proceeded to make wild wild fantasies and stereotypes about people that aren't grounded in reality....

...from my wide range of experiences Internet chatting with 1 Domme and a male submissive named DoMe883.

Aaaaaawwwwww.....those were the good ole days of BDSM before the Internet...

My polar opposite is not a sub...

It is someone fat, stupid and conservative beyond reason.
